Camila's POV

"You... You need a ton of my blood?" I ask, my eyes wide with shock.

Lauren looks over at Normani and Ally who are sleeping.

"Let's talk outside," She says.

I change as quickly as I can before I step outside my dorm with Lauren.

"Just this once don't interfere with my plans, love," Lauren speaks softly.

I bite my lower lip as I rock back and forth. "How much blood are we talking about?" I ask.

"About 470ml," Lauren answers.

"So like about one blood bag?" I ask.

"Yes. For now," Lauren says.

I sigh as I touch Lauren's chest. "After everything I've done to you, I suppose this is the least I can do," I said.

"Thank you, love," Lauren smiles. She tucks a loose strand behind my ear and plants a kiss on my forehead. "Let's go," She whispers.

"Go... Where?" I ask confusingly.

"I'm taking you to New Orleans," Lauren smiles.

"I have classes," I said.

"Call in and say you're going out of town for a day or two," Lauren says.

"Okay. Let me go do that. Wait here," I said.

After informing the school that I will be out of town for a few days, I walk back over to Lauren.

"Ready, love?" Lauren asks.

"Ready," I smile.

Lauren's POV

After a whole day's drive, I finally enter New Orleans, as the town is lit up.

"Love..." I said softly.

Camila who was sleeping, her head leaned against the window, slowly opens her eyes. "What?" She asks huskily.

"We're finally here," I said.

Camila lifts her head and stretches out as she looks out the window. "What time is it?" She asks.

"I'll say about midnight," I said.

"Damn," She mumbles.

"Hey, find your energy because you're gonna leave loving New Orleans after the tour I'll give you," I said.

"So, why do you and your siblings love New Orleans?" Camila asks.

"Whoever said that?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Nobody but you guys always mentioned it. Always come here," Camila says.

I smile as I look around. "Well we do love New Orleans because we helped build this place," I said.

"Really?" Camila questions.

"Yes. At that time we were running away from our father. We were desperate to find a place where he couldn't find us. We found these very grounds and then helped build New Orleans. We lived about two hundred years in peace before my father found us again and we fled but we still maintained control over this city," I explain.

"You guys are all-around powerful huh?" Camila raises an eyebrow.

"Anyone who's anyone in the vampire world knows about us Originals. They kinda have to. Their blood. Our blood. Started with us," I said.

"I haven't told Shawn that I'm here with you," Camila says.

"It's probably best you don't," I said.

"Why?" Camila asks.

I take a deep breath then park the car as we get out and I lead her into our place settled in the French Quarter.

"After everything I did, you may think of me as a horrible person but I'm not like this, a cruel person. The only one that has at least forgiven me the most times was Dinah because since we were kids we were always the closest, you can say Dinah is my favorite. But the reason I'm like this is... Because I hate betrayals. I've been betrayed by my mother, my siblings, friends, and even in romantic relationships. I'm over it which is why I decided to be cruel because I've been hurt so many times in my a thousand years of living," I said.

"So you can say Shawn ruined my life because he provoked you to do all those things," Camila says.

"He's not a bad man but he has made just as many mistakes as I have," I said.

"Lauren!"

We both look up to see Dinah leaning against the second-story balcony.

"Dinah," I smile.

Dinah looks over at Camila and her features turn serious. "Camila," The blonde says.

"Dinah. Hi," Camila says.

The blonde walks over and descends the stairs as she's in front of us in seconds.

"I know why you're here but if you ruin it I will kill you afterward once we get your blood," Dinah growls, her eyes darkening but then they turn back to normal. She looks at me then walks away.

"Yeah, your not her most favorite person at the moment," I said.

"I can... Tell. And she has every right to not like me. I hurt her sister," Camila says.

I turn to face her as I take her hands in mine. "Let's not talk about that right now. I want to show you around New Orleans, I'll order the maid to prep you a room," I said.

"I'm staying here?" Camila asks shocked.

"I'm not letting you stay anywhere else, love," I said. I was about to leave but then I stop and turn back to Camila. "I'm gonna need your phone I can't risk Shawn getting in contact with you and ruining my plans," I said.

"Okay," Camila nods. She takes her phone out, powering it off before handing it to me.

"Make yourself at home, love. Welcome to New Orleans," I smile.
