Jessie POV
"Cheers!" We all said as we clinked our glasses of wine together. The first season of The Voice UK was over and we coaches were having dinner with our finalists, and Winner.
"I would just like to say a few words.-" I cleared my throat; "All the artists from the very first days of auditions were amazing and you all are very talented and I hope you go far in life with your careers because you all really deserve it, and my main congrats to Lianne for being the voice of the UK this season." Everyone rose their glasses saying cheers once again. The dinner was excellent and soon it was over.
We the coaches were last to leave. I hugged Tom and said goodbye, told him I would miss him, lots. Same with Will. We all walked out to the street, we all had cars waiting to take us home. I hugged Danny last..
"See you next season hopefully."
"Ye' hopefully"
"I'm working on an album, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to help me write a song one of these days?"
I had high hopes, Danny wrote amazing songs.
"I would love to! ye'"
"Awesome" I hugged him one more time
"I'll keep in touch then."
"Okay"
He opened the back door to the car and I got in. As I drove away I saw him get in his and head the opposite direction.
*2 months later*
I was really enjoying myself. Spent my days relaxing or shopping or just exploring and my nights in the studio. I picked up a couple drinks from Starbucks and headed over to the studio.
"Hey guys, brought coffee" everyone took a cup.
"The production is going great Jess. We have about half the album done."
Jamie, my co writer and producer told me.
"Great. Just need a few more songs."
"Are you gonna put that song on there like you wanted to?"
I took the straw out of my mouth
"what song ?.."
"oh c'mon, the one you told us about"
"Ohhh. Yeah, yeah, I still want to do it. I was just thinking on getting some help writing it though"
"Help from who?"
"Danny."
"Danny?"
"O'Donoghue."
"Oh! He's a fabulous writer. I had a friend who once worked with him"
"See, he's great! plus he's even better with writing songs about breakups and all those things"
"You should get together soon and do it"
"We should.. but I haven't even told him what kind of song i expect out of him, or even spoken to him for months"
"He should be ready to write anything, Just call him up and set a date"
"alright. I'll do it when I have time."
"Jessie, you have time now.."
I gave him a look then put my coffee down.
