"We've got so much stuff to get." You sighed as you stared at the list in your hand of things you'd need for the baby.

"We've got this. We'll do just fine. If you need to sit down or anything, let me know and we'll take a break."

You were about to say something but a soft gasp fell from your lips instead. You dragged Demi by their hand as you walked across the store to the thing that caught your eye; the tiny baby shoes.

"Look! They're so small and cute! We have to get a pair!"

Demi couldn't refuse the sparkle in your eyes. So they quickly took the one you were eyeing and put it in the basket.

"Okay. That's one thing done. What should we do next? Clothes or furniture?"

You thought about it for a second before you walked over to the clothes section with their hand still wrapped in yours. It brought them immense happiness to see that smile on your face. They know the start of this journey wasn't easy or fun for you. But you're loving it now, astonished by all the things your body is capable of. It made them happy to see.

They pulled out their phone and snapped a few photos of you. They couldn't resist. That sparkle in your eye as you looked over all the adorable selections with your evergrowing bump showing was too much to resist capturing.

"What do you see that you like, Demi?"

"Absolutely everything." She said as she grabbed one of the shirts. "It's so small. It's crazy to think this is how small they'll be. This is how tiny they'll be when she's born." Demi spoke in awe, their chest filling with butterflies over the thought of your sweet baby being here in just a few months and only being big enough to fit into the tiny newborn clothes.

You grabbed a bunch of stuff and threw it into the basket.

"Think we've got enough?" Demi laughed but you shook your head.

"No. I'm spoiling our baby. I mean, I want them to feel loved by how we treat them and love them first and foremost. But it's all so cute and I want to buy them some different things to wear."

"That's okay, princess. It's our first baby. I know they're bound to be spoiled with things. But how about we buy things that are also in different sizes? That doesn't mean we can't buy more for them in the future, but babies grow fast. They won't always be able to fit into newborn clothes."

"That's true." You agreed and quickly started picking out more in other sizes too.

"Keep going like this and we'll need another basket."

You giggled and started to walk with Demi to the furniture section. You picked out different items like a crib and different things for them to lay and play in. You picked out a bassinet and a baby carrier, as well as a few needs such as a stroller and a stroller cover for rainy days.

You grabbed anything and everything you could think of, and a few things that were too cute to resist that were on the list.

"I think we're done," Demi said and you went to check out, which took longer than expected since you had so much stuff.

The car was packed, as full as can be. Demi shook their head with a giggle, knowing that this was only the beginning. Your baby is going to be so spoiled and so loved, and all of this just made them even more excited for the baby to be in the world and in their arms
