Introduction

It's summer time! It's hot! It's wild! And there's a new girl in Atlanta!

My name is Rozonda Thomas, and my mom dragged me all the way down here in Atlanta thinking this was gone be a good idea for a new start.

Down the street from our house is a bunch of gangs on the corner, prostitution, kids playing around and riding bikes, and this popular crew that looks cool as hell!

"Hey mom, am going for a walk to check the town out"

"Ok sweetie, please be careful" she said

"I will" I gave her a smile walking out the door

I put on my headphones and played some music on my CD player.

I begin walking, passing these gang members who was looking dead at me with a straight face, shooting dice and smoking dope, I quickly turn my head and walked up faster with my head down not watching where I was going and end up passing these group of friends

"Uh ohhh, we got a new face in townnn" One of the boys shouted blowing kisses and whistling

"Ahhhhh.. Hey" I stood a distance from them waving

"Who are you?" One of the females asked

"My name is Rozonda, am from DC" I said nervously until my eyes landed on this FINEEEE LIGHTSKIN TOMBOY , my knees immediately locked how she stared at me with this serious face without smiling, she just had this blank look whiles this tall pretty girl was leaning against her with this mug on her face as well chewing gum

I swallowed a lump in my throat with no words to say,

"You can keep walking now" one of the girls said

"Sure" I quickly walk off pressing play on my CD player

"Wait! Shawty where you going??" This handsome boy said pulling my hand

"She was only playing, come and get to know everyone, we like to see new faces" his dimples showed as he bite his lips

I followed him back to where everyone was standing and sitting

"We should introduce ourself the right way"

My name is Tupac, this is kidada, Lyte, Lisa, Tionne, Aaliyah, Snoop, Missy, Brat, Jada, Selena Quantanilla, biggie, and ice cube

"Nice to meet you guys" I smiled

Some smiled back but a few didn't; some of them didn't even acknowledge me,

I looked at all of them nervously with my eyes going back to Tionne.

Her girlfriend, am assuming, had her tongue down her throat, kissing like nobody business

I looked away, and turn my attention to Lisa who called me over

I walked over to her feeling relieved

"It's nice to meet you, am sorry everyone is acting so weird and shit, they can come off a little cold at times" Lisa said

"That's okay" I smiled

"Can you dance or sing?"

"I can do both"

"Really? Well their having a party tomorrow night at jelly beans, you should come with us"

"Yes! That would be great! Hopefully everyone else doesn't mind"

"Trust me! They won't"

"no me gusta la gente" Selena blurted loudly

"Selena, what are you talking about?" Missy asked confuse

"I don't like people! I hate meeting new people, I don't think this new girl should be hanging with us" she said rolling her eyes

"I agree with you girl" Aaliyah said eyeing me down

"Ummmm..."

"Can y'all just chill, she ain't even doing y'all nothing"

"Girls and their fucking drama" ice cube said blowing smoke

"Be nice please" Tupac said pulling Selena by her waist

"podemos ir ahora" she dragged in a baby voice

"Can we go now?"

"I think it's fair we just get to know the girl, she's hot, she can sing and dance, I even invited her to our spot, jelly beans" Lisa said

"Hopefully she can keep up with us" brat said smirking at Lyte
