I hate plane rides.
Not as much as I hate racoons, but still, plane rides are the worst.
Just the thought of being stuck in a metal tube filled with strangers, thousands of feet above air makes me sick to my stomach.
So when I heard that a plane trip from New York to Los Angeles was 6 hours, you can imagine how happy I must have felt.
The plane had taken off 15 minutes ago, and I was counting every second up until the point where we landed. I stared out the window, looking at the scenery below me.
My name is Sage Garcia, I'm 17 years old and this summer I decided to leave my home in New York and move to Los Angeles with my Aunt and Uncle.
One of the things I hate more than plane rides and raccoons is drama, so when my parents wanted to get a divorce after my mom found out my dad was having an affair, I needed an escape.
Luckily my Uncle reached out and offered me a place to stay, so here I am, on a 6 hour plane ride to Los Angeles after finding out my dad is a cheating scumbag.
Yeah, my life is going great.
I sighed and looked out the window, wondering how everything had changed so drastically in the span of 2 weeks.
My thoughts were interrupted by a sudden pain in my lower back.
I yelped, startled and looked over and the seat behind me that was occupied by a little kid with an ipad on his lap, and a red lollipop in his mouth.
He smirked at me and licked his lollipop.
I opened my mouth angrily but then closed it after seeing his mother right next to him, reading a magazine.
I sank into my seat with a look of defeat on my face and moments later, jumped as I felt another kick from the kid behind me.
I groaned and looked out the small clouded window, this was going to be a long trip.
Sorry for the short chapter but hope you enjoyed! ❤️
How do you feel about the little kid in the seat behind Sage?
