Now that was the turning point I hadn't seen coming and it frustrated me the next two days every time when it went through my head.During that time I didn't see Dalek at all and can't say I was looking for him either. Suddenly it was obvious to me, why the tradition thought the less the bride and the groom met the better for both of them. I supported this view right now. It didn't matter to me anymore that I wished to learn who he was before comiting myself.

On the third day I had unsuspected visitor. I was in the middle of being head over heals smashed between our clothing in the washing basin when he walked over and placed a bronze ring-brooch in front of me. I let out a surprised sigh seeing the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my entire life. My father was a blacksmith and very good at it, but this was way over his head. There were seven small flowers attached on a twirled ring and it shined in the sunlight.

My hands soaked in soap I didn't even dare to touch it and let him attach it under my neck, where I swore I'd wear it forever. It was weird watching him placing it there, hands all shaking and not getting it closed properly so I had to ask Zahrah later to reattach it. But I liked watching him try, he looked so proud on that moment. As was I – so beautiful was the jewlery placed under my chin and equal the man, who brought it.

The fourth day was rainy. Rainy was soft way to say it was flooding down from heaven and at some point it seemed to me the river had taken from it's place and was passing us right over our heads at that moment, moving towards the mountains. The rivers and forests did that sometimes, when they didn't like how they were treated – they just rised out from the earth and flew away, searching for new resting places.

Thankfuly, this wasn't the case here and put in human tongue meant, summer storms had arrived. There was always either too much or too little, when it came to weather, but never anything in-between. Thus we had storms in the middle of summer. That was way better than drauth.

"It sure is pouring today." Erika sighed, placing herself next to me on the porch, where I was doing my needle work. She searched out her own and we continued them in silence.

It was slightly chilly there, I admited, but I liked it, having my yellow scarf attached under my chin with my beloved bronze brooch and feel warm in the middle of all this cold. Now and then thunder rolled over our heads and some purple lights slashed through the dark grey sky. My mind was quite as the weather was – drained. Only in my head it was all calm at the moment, no storms in my soul today I promised myself waking up in the morning. I hoped I could keep this promise, I needed it.

I suddenly felt her fidgeting next to me.

"Look, there!" Erika nudged towards what made her restless and I granted her a glance.

"What is it?"

Dalek was standing next to the barn not more then thirty feet from us, covered with brown longhaired fur protecting him from the rain. His head was uncovered and hair were visibly dripping from the extend water while his fingers looked like straight line water attached to them. He had rested himself against the wall and was watching us from there like chanted.

"He's been there for two hours now." I turned back to stitching the neckline.  I had started the shirt yesterday and wished to finish it before the wedding. Right now it looked more of a pile of cotton cloth than a shirt, but if I kept doing it every day I was sure I could  finish it in time.

"Two hours?" Erika was baffled. "Why haven't you invited him here?"

"He won't come." I said calmly, still not raising my eyes from the hemline. I hadn't actually called him, but I knew he wouldn't come. He was here only to observe, not take part. To my defence, I thought, he didn't look like he wanted to come.
