Night
Night steals across the land, silencing birds with shadowed hand,
And those in beds do sleep while outside the darkness doth creep.
Night in the snow
Starlight, moonlight, snow glitters in the half-light,
White mantled hills, majestic in laden cloaks of ice
Untouched by neither man nor mice.
Dawn
Dawn comes apon the land waking life with glowing hands,
Its warming touch brings the day, shining light and golden rays.
