Jungkook softly spoke when Taehyung's eyes filled with tears, both unconsciously leaned in. their lips only a few inches away from each other. Jungkook's heart was thumping inside his chest, it was the first time he was this close to his mate and it was doing things to his body. It was safe to say that Taehyung was not in any better state.
Due to nervousness Jungkook gripped Taehyung's waist a bit tighter but before their lips could touch Taehyung suddenly pushed him away, not that hard but it was enough for Jungkook to feel rejected. He knew that Taehyung was through so much but he couldn't help the feeling.
Taehyung- I c-can't do th-this....
He started walking away
Jungkook- Tae, please
He held Taehyung's wrist in order to stop him
Jungkook- I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way....I promise that I'll not force you into anything.....
He spoke with so much sincerity that Taehyung felt like crying on spot, but if he has learned something in those years it was to keep his emotions to himself
Taehyung- I....I don't want this
He spoke without stuttering causing Jungkook's breath to hitch
Jungkook- Y-you don't want m-me?
He asked in shaky voice, regretting so much for even asking that. He was not ready to hear the answer. Taehyung looked down and removed Jungkook's hand from his wrist.
Taehyung- I'm sorry.
He said and went back to his room leaving a heart broken Jungkook who fell on the knees, not being able to process what just happened

Next morning
Jimin knocked on the door of Taehyung's room, but after not receiving any answer he got worried. He looked at the guards
Jimin- He is inside right?
?- Yes sir
Jimin nodded and went inside, he gasped when he saw the way Taehyung was laying on the bed. He was in a fetus position and softly crying.
Jimin- Tae?
He rushed to Taehyung and pulled him to sit on his lap. Taehyung was hugging the life out of Jimin.

Jimin- Then why are you crying?
He rubbed circles on Taehyung's back in order to help him calm down

A few hiccups left his lips

When Taehyung calmed a bit he spoke again
