Hogwarts and the Terrific Trio

Chapter 1: The Strange Letter

(Claire P.O.V)

The sun shined through my window at 8 in the morning. Today would be the day that decided if I would get to go to Hogwarts. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could, at the bottom of the steps I crashed into my mom. "Morning, sweetheart. Where are you rushing to." Asked my mom. "I am just excited to get my acceptance letter from Hogwarts." I replied. "First eat your breakfast before it gets cold." My mom said. I walked into the dining room and saw that Mom had made Pancakes with scrambled eggs, my favorite! Just as I was about sit down my dad came in and ruffled my hair. He then opened the window in the room and went to brew some coffee. What is it with adults and coffee. I swear my mom and dad are addicted to it.

In the middle of breakfast, I saw a dark shape come towards the house. As it got closer, I realized that it was an owl. "My letter arrived!" I said squealing with delight. Once the owl deposited the letter, I tore it open. In side was the letter I had been waiting for so long. As I read through it, one thing was for sure, I was going to have a great year at Hogwarts.

(Melody P.O.V) 

"Beep beep beep beep" my alarm went off and woke me instantly. "I have been waiting my whole life for a single letter and it comes today", I said to myself. I raced down the many stairs of the Everfree mansion and came to the dining hall exhausted but excited. I smelled the aroma of waffles, pomegranate juice, and tea. I sat down on a chair surveying  the enormous table filled with food, the house elves had prepared for the special day. "So are you ready to be a Ravenclaw" my older brother, Collin said as he walked in. "Ravenclaw is the best house you could be in and you're smart too so it is likely" he added.  " She'll be in Gryffindor I'm sure of it" my mom argued. " No thats impossible, I even did the calculations" my brother replied. Me and my mom rolled our eyes and I was sure I heard my mom mutter, "classic Ravenclaws." As my mom and brother argued about which house I would be in, a spotted owl came through the bay window and handed me a letter and then tossed the other letter on the floor then it flew off.  Yes, I opened my letter and jumped up and down causing my mom and Collin to stop arguing and they stared at me with wide eyes. A voice in the background broke the silence " What did I miss" someone said. It was my twin brother, Mathew, rubbing his eyes. "Oh, just your HOGWARTS LETTER!!!" I said with sarcasm in my voice. Mathew ran to the letter on the floor and accidentally crashed into Collin, who then slipped on the letter and landed face first on his waffles witch (pun intended) were drowning in syrup. I then smiled knowing that I was finally going to Hogwarts and becoming a witch.

(Violet P.O.V)

I woke up in the morning feeling quite tired. I groaned as I got out of my bed to go take a shower and brush my teeth.

~Time Skip~

I walked down the stairs for my breakfast expecting to see my parents. Instead I saw my Uncle Patrick sitting on one of the chairs in the dining room. "Good Morning! I will watch over your sister and you, because your parents are out running errands." my uncle said. As he got out the milk and the cereal box and made me some cereal. As I was eating my breakfast my sister, Ellie came down the stairs still rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. As soon as she saw our uncle she shot me a questioning look. "He's here to take care of us cause Mom and Dad are out running errands." I said as I continued to eat. My uncle also started to make breakfast for my sister.

~Time Skip~

After me and my sister finished eating breakfast we went into the living room to watch some TV. My uncle followed us and opened a window in the room. I guess it was to let some fresh air in. Suddenly I noticed a weird object that was flying in the sky. It was white like a cloud and it seemed to be coming straight for the house. As it got closer and closer I realized that it was an owl that was carrying a letter. Weird!! The owl then swooped into the house and gave the letter to me. Then it flew away. At that same moment, the doorbell rang. My uncle ran to get the door open, he looked pretty excited. I wonder why. I also opened the letter. Here is what it said:

Dear Violet Miller,

You have been accepted into HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY. One of our certified students will come over to your house and explain what the Wizarding World is, as well as what Hogwarts is. He/She will also tell you about the customs and traditions that we follow. He will also take you to Diagon Alley and will help you get the materials and supplies you need for the year. Attached to this letter are the parchment that has your supply list as well as a train ticket that will let you aboard the HOGWARTS EXPRESS. The other students and Professors will be excited to see you.
