Suddenly, Cisco Found himself awake and uneasy in the middle of the night. It wasn't a sound that woke him up, nor a dream. Yet he simply knew, something was wrong. Cisco got up and looked around his bungalow, taking a glance at everything, turning all the lights on, going through every room with extreme precision, first the entrance, then the living room, the dining room, and lastly went to the back kitchen, where an intruder could have made a stealthy entrance, but nothing seemed to be amiss.
“I should probably get back to bed, I have an early appointment with my therapist tomorrow,” Cisco thought to himself.
So, he went back to bed, on the way, stopping to use the bathroom. After Cisco got into bed, got comfortable, and closed his eyes, he still couldn’t get to sleep and just couldn’t figure out why. Suddenly there was a loud crash and a dark figure smashed through his window! Then three more broke through his door and walls! By the time Cisco realized what was going on, he felt a piercing sensation then the room started spinning and darkness crashed in.

                                            1 day later…

Cisco awoke to his nose being salted by the smell of ammonia and sat up abruptly, noticing he’s in a small barren grey room that looked like a prison cell with no bars and had one steel door that was locked and seemed to be very thick. Cisco Looked around for a way to escape.
“There has to be something in here!” Cisco thought
But there was nothing to help him escape from this room. While Cisco was looking for a way out, the handle on the door turned and it promptly opened. As it opened, in walked a man Cisco knew as his commanding officer, Gausse.
Cisco had no respect for this man, even after all the years they worked and fought together. Cisco hated this man for one reason and one reason only, this is the man who was behind all the experiments and tests Cisco was put through, this is the single person who ruined Cisco's life, and he hated him for it.
“What the hell are you doing here! Where am I! How did you find me!” Cisco yelled at Gausse.
“That’s classified information Cisco, but I am sorry for the inconvenience of the transport, we knew you wouldn't come willingly,” Gausse replied.
“Like hell you are!” Cisco yelled at him again with anger.
“Now, let’s get you outside. Welcome home,” Said Gausse, unphased by Cisco’s words.
Gausse turned and waved at a soldier to come and get Cisco while he was walking out of the room. The soldier walked into the room and uncuffed Cisco, then forced him out of the room, Cisco put up little resistance, as he knew he would not be able to escape if Gausse was behind this. As Cisco walked into the open area, he realized this place he was in, is the old military testing facility he was stationed at during the war.
“No, Not here, Anywhere but here,” Cisco mutterd with despair.
“NO TALKING!” yelled the soldier, giving Cisco a shove.
Cisco started walking, slowly, through the facility, looking at all the “experiments”; soldiers bred and designed to fight with extreme precision and strength, meant to kill without mercy. Cisco recognised all of them, he knew all of their names and basically everything about them. They were like his family. There were more than just them though, there were sentient turrets with the conscience of a human transferred into it, androids that were programed to be highly trained assassins, teleportation fields and special gels meant for different purposes, you name it, they had it.
Cisco had been in contact with these things before, when he was here before, as one of them. During the war, Cisco was taken by the government and experimented on, tested and tested, endlessly. Until he was finally deployed on the front lines as the final product of the super soldier experiment. He was at the facility for a total of eleven years, then was deployed on the frontlines for another five. The government, and Gausse had ruined Cisco’s life, and now they wanted him for something.
Finally, after a walk that felt like hours, Cisco was at the barracks and was led to his room. Cisco opened and walked through the door to what would be his living quarters. The room had a fold out bed at the back-left that had a nightstand next to it, with a door to the right of it that presumably led to the restroom. It had a table in front of the door with a set of chairs to go with it. Across from the bed on the right side of the room was a bookshelf filled to the brim with dusty books.
“My old room, how wonderful,” Cisco said sarcastically
Cisco walked over to the bookshelf and grabbed one of the old novels, pausing to take a look at it, then he walked over to the bed, sat down, and started to read. He kept reading until nightfall, lost in the book. Suddenly, one of the guards outside Cisco’s room knocked on the door.
“Lights out!” they yelled. Then they shut the lights off, and continued to the next room.
Cisco stopped reading and put the book down on his nightstand, then he laid down, closed his eyes, and let the darkness fade in.
