I sat in the back of the class. I never really said anything, was never called on, but yet somehow, everyone knew my name. Even the popular kids somehow. And they never forgot it. I didn't understand, the name 'Raylea' wasn't the most common name.
"What's up Raylea!" Ashley, a popular girl, bellowed from the other end of the hall.
'What the hell?' I thought 'How does she know me?' I thought walking the opposite direction.
"Dumbass I'm this way!" She practically sprinted to my side stepping in front of me making me drop my phone.
'Of Course' I sighed
"What's the rush? I just wanna talk" She looked at me up and down.
"I dont talk." I mumbled picking up my phone and running down the steps.
"Okay that's fucking nice!" she screamed leaning over the rail. Rolling her eyes I heard her heels clicking back to the other end of the hall where she came from.
'Why did she talk to me of all people?'I thought, walking outside and sitting on the bench
It was cold outside. A usual winter evening in Minnesota. Or Minnesnowta in better words because it snows all the time.
I looked out at the road and all the cars zooming by.
'Dumbasses, they're all gonna die someday and all they do with their useless lives are go to work and then go back home.'
I looked down at my hands and clenched them together.
'I mean I'm not any better, I go to school and then go back home.' I closed my eyes, popped in my airpods and layed down on the cold ass bench
As a shiver ran down my spine 'Boys will be bugs' by Cavetown started playing.
[This is funny because I'm actually listening to Boys will be bugs as I write this <3]
I close my eyes and think about everything i could be doing right now. Instead of laying on a cold bench outside. Well for starters I could be inside eating Lunch like the rest of the kids. But, the teachers don'ts give a flying fuck what i do so might as well stay away from people and out here
"Is this seat taken?" I hear a soft but manly voice say. I jumped up and my airpods fell out, "Y-Yea" I said looking at the dude who was standing there at the end of the bench. He had Titanium Blonde hair with bright green eyes, he was a twig tho- Not gonna lie, He's pretty hot-
"Oh, Sorry to bug you then." He started too walk
"WAIT NO!" I yelled. He looked at me startled and I covered my mouth as I blushed.
"Yeah?" He said raising an eyebrow
"I m-meant no its not taken." I practically whispered moving my legs.
"Oh okay!" He walked back over and sat down.
"I'm Ray." He said looking out at the road like I was
"Raylea..." I said. I was blushing. I could feel it. My bright blue eyes were about to burst.
"Hey your the quiet kid who sits in the back of Mr.Tillis class!"he said turning to look at me. He smiled and stuck his hand out.
He slightly had fangs. I looked down at his hand and then at his eyes and then back down at his hand again and shook it.
"Yeah. You could say that."I said softly.
"I might have to move there soon because of... things..." He sighed.
"Things?" I asked crossing my legs.
"Yeah. Miss Ella doesn't like me very much." He said chuckling.
"Miss Ella is a bitch." I rolled my eyes.
"Y-Yea you could say that." He burst out laughing
I puffed and grabbed my sketchbook out of my backpack.
He looked over my shoulder to see my sketchbook. I caught on quite quickly.
"That ones cool." He whispered.
"THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT FOR NOW" I said slamming it shut, pulling my knees close to my chest and looking at the road again.
"Um, Okay? I guess" He scooted back over to the other side of the bench
'SHIT SHIT SHIT HE PROBABLY THINKS I'M WEIRD AHHH' I thought glancing at him.
"Well. I'm gonna go back inside." I said standing up, grabbing my backpack and running through the doors
Right as I walked in the doors i immediately regretted leaving him out there. But its whatever, it's not like I'll see him again after this.
The bell rang and I panicked running up the steps and into my classroom panting
