Ch. 2 A Guide to...PETS

    Now, when it comes to pets, I have A LOT. We have chickens, goats and dogs at our house. So, I'll make a list:

*Two dogs, Anna and Addi 
*Two goats, Matilda and Rusty 
* Close to 80 chickens with no names

And that's it. Okay, so when you choose a pet, remember these things:
1) Do you have enough room for this animal?
2) Can you care for it responsablely?
3) Can you pay for your dog, cat, horse or rabbit (Or any other pet) with your own money? 
4) Did you ask your parent/s or gaurdian if you can have a pet?
5) Do you have a budget for this pet? If you do, keep it in that price range. 
6) Can you afford the pet?

If you said yes to all of these questions, you might be ready for a pet. Okay, lovlies...what do you think? Can you own a pet?
     First of all, if you have any pet allergies, narrow down your options and try to avoid those certain ones. Are you allergic to cats or dogs? Rabbits or horse hair? Those are common pet allergins. So, if you don't mind, take those out of your list. 
     Top ten animals for kids: 
     1) Hermit Crabs
   * Best for any age
   * Life span up to 30 years!!
      2) Chinchilla 
    * Best for kids 10+, chinchillas are very fragile. 
    * Life span for up to 20 years.
      3) Box Turtles
    * Best for kids 8+
    * Up to 40 years 
      4) Beta Fish
    * Any age
    * Up to 3 years
      5) Ferrets
    * Best for kids 12 and older
    * 5 to 8 years
       6) Parrots
    * Any age, but better for teens.
    * Up to 80 years!!
       7) Rabbits
     * Kids 8+
     * 5 to 10 years
       8) Geckos
     *  Kids 10+
     * Up to 20 years
        9) Hamsters
     * Kids 8+
     * 2 to 3 years
        10) Guinea Pig
     * Any Age *Great Starter Pet!*
     * 5 to 10 years
 Now, that you've seen the top 10 pets for kids (And sometimes teens,) You can go ahead and choose your pet!
