It had been months since Rod got out of the hospital, and Nicky and him got to move back into their apartment. Ricky's father got better and Ricky convinced him to give Rod's job back. They even heard that the lady who shot Rod was a wanted criminal and she was finally put behind bars.
While moving back in the apartment, Nicky noticed that Rod wasn't doing much unpacking. He was hiding something behind his back. "Rod," Nicky asks. "What are you doing?" That's when Rod got down on his knee and held up the ring that he bought right before leaving the city. The diamond was small, but the ring still looked amazing.
"Nicholas? Will you marry me?" Nicky looked angry. "WHAT?!! NO!!!" Rod had never felt more hurt. He'd rather be shot again than be where he is right now. "Oh...". Rod got up, tearing up. And that's when Nicky said, "BECAUSE I WANTED TO ASK YOU FIRST!!!" Nicky got down on one knee as well, and he help up a different ring. "Rodrick? Will YOU marry ME?" That's when Rod started crying even more, but was laughing at the same time. They both said, "Yes!"
They exchanged rings and were the two happiest people on earth.
