The Ninja Left Behind.

Chapter 4

Four months later

Holding Morro's hand, I push with the contraction as the EMT instructs me. I'm in the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital. In the middle of a performance at a dinner called Mike's burgers my body was struck with contractions and I went into labor.

Screaming with the pain, I bear down as the EMT lifts the towel. "I can see the head, Mr.Kai, just one more strong push should do it." He said as I lean on Morro, panting. When the contraction hits, I push and my son finally comes into the world screaming his lungs out.

I can hear cheers as I turn my head to Morro's shoulder, panting head as the EMT's partner places an oxygen mask on my face. "You did great, Mr.Kai. We'll be at the hospital in ten minutes. And you have a healthy little boy." The man says.

"Can.......can I hold hem." I ask. The ambulance pulls off with the sirens on as the EMT hands me my son. Morro touches his cheek with his ghostly hand as my son opens amber eyes. He has a little bit of black hair on his head as well as dark tanned skin. Aside from my hair style and eye color, he's the spitting image of Cole.

Arriving at the hospital, we're checked over and I'm clean health. "What cha gonna name hem." Morro asks. He floats around using his ghost powers even though he's human again.

Last month, Morro about sent me into an early labor cause he got tricked into helping Master Yang. Yang used the yin blade to open a rift in space. When he tried to go through, Morro stopped hem and Yang allowed Morro to go through and become mortal again. But for some reason, Morro, Soul Archer and Banchee all kept their ghostly powers.

"I'm gonna name hem Zachary Venus Smith." I say as Zach opens his eyes to revile his beautiful amber eyes. I smile at hem as he coos, then he starts to fuss as I open my gown and Zach latches on to feed.

Pretty soon, six years have past, under Miles watchful eyes, I become a famous singer and Zach loves it, often joining me on stage. I pick hem up from school and we go to the old town creamery to get hotdogs and milkshakes.

"Mama. Do I have a daddy." Zach asks after finishing his hotdog. "Why do you ask." I say, sipping my milkshake. "We're doing a family tree in school and I haven't heard you talk about dad. Do I have one." Zach asks.

"You have one but he walked out with the other ninja to train. When I tried to tell hem, your father brushed me off. You have a grandfather on his side that knows of you but has respected my choice to only being in the shadows until you want to meet hem." I say.

"Yes, I would love to meet hem." Zach said and I smile, pulling out my phone out and calling Lou. He picks up after the third ring 'hey Kai. How's Zach and you doing.' He asks. "We're doing good. Zach wants to meet you." I say and I can hear the joy.

'Yes, yes, bring me my grandson. I've been waiting for this.' Lou says and I chuckle. "We'll be there in a few." I said and hang up. I pay for the meal, grab three more milkshakes and we head over to Lou's house. Blitz touches down infront the house and Zach runs up to the door.

Ringing the doorbell, Zach doesn't have to wait long before Lou opens the door and Zach hugs hem. "God, your just like Cole was when he was thus age. Come in, grandson and Son." I smile. When I told Lou that Cole was the father of Zach, he was outraged at the fact Cole left without me even telling hem.

We sit on the couch as Zach looks around. "I've been watching you preform Kai. I must say, your really talented. You sure you didn't learn at Marty." Lou asks when he comes with tea.

"No, I never even heard of the place till we ninja came here." I say. "Care to give a private show." Lou asks. "Not at all, Lou." I said and stand up. Zach starts clapping a beat and it's our favorite song.

When I finish, Lou is clapping. "Bravo, Kai my boy. Bravo." He says as I blush and bow. Zach jumps on my back as Lou smiles. We spend the day with Lou and when we leave, I promise Zach he could spend the weekend with his grandfather and gave Lou a backstage pass to all my concerts in the future.

I carry Zach as he fell asleep and lay hem in his bed, tucking Zach in and kissing his cheek. Going to my room, I change and head to bed, falling asleep when my head hits the pillow.
