Chapter 2 : Unexpected Visitors

[ 10:00 AM | POV : Y/N ] 

    Oh dear god.. Maybe I should have thought about this ahead of time, but after the ruin guard stampede, I doubt anyone would visit the library.. This whole process was pointless, and I could be sleeping right now-

    I laid my head in my arms on the counter in destress. And in the middle of this breakdown, there was a sudden knock on the front doors. I swiftly cleaned myself off and stood up straight, in embarrassment. For a second or too i kinda just stared off into the distance. There was another knock.

    " Ack! I'm sorry, give me one minute! I'm coming! " I panicked, running towards the front entrance. 

    " Oh? Wow, I didn't really expect you to be open today, You know after this morning.." A woman smiled to me.

    " Ganyu? It's a pleasure to meet you! Uh- well, I felt like I needed to open up today, would've felt too guilty if I didn't haha.. " I joked.

    " That's lovely of you... how sweet! " Ganyu laughed.

    " Awhh, thank you! You're welcome to enter, we have a large catalog of books!" I would reply.

    Ganyu gave me another smile, and headed to the fairytale isle. To be honest, I'm surprised, I wouldn't have expected anyone to come today. It made me kinda happy.

    Hours and hours pass by. About one or two other people visit and then leave the library, but for the whole day, Ganyu say in her corner reading.

    " Hello? Does it happen that Ganyu's in here? " A woman asked me. 

    " Hm? Yeah, she's in the Fairytale section" I replied.

    " Perfect, thank you very much " She smiled at me. 

    The woman went searching for Ganyu, and from the front desk I was just able to hear her call, " Ganyu? You there? Ningguang needs you". But that was about all I was able to hear. Soon enough Ganyu and the woman start heading for the door.

    " Bye ladies, anything you wanna borrow?" I inquired.

    " Nothing at the moment, but maybe tomorrow. See you soon- uhm.." Ganyu started.

    " Y/N, my name's Y/N. See you soon!" I replied, and then the 2 women left. I let out a smile and giggled to myself. " She's so kind " I blushed to myself.
