The boy in the mist

chapter 2

"What's up zee?"

"Uhm Harry that's not Mr. baker he left 20 minutes ago and in the room where you just heard talking I saw a shadow moving around..."

Harry's pov

A shiver runs through my body right when Zayn says that. "Ok thanks for the information, call me when you see something else." I hang up the phone and grab the spirit box out of my bag before making my way to the living room where the talking was heard. The spirit box is a small box that used radio frequency-sweeps to generate white noise that some spirits can manipulate or use as energy to communicate with me.

I turn the spirit box on and start talking "So hello my name is Harry could you tell me yours?" I wait a few minutes but nothing is heard "I know that you are in here, please show me that you are here." Right after I say that a pillow falls off the couch "Oh my god yes that's it now I know you're intelligent enough tell me your name."

A weird disembodied voice is heard from the spirit box that sounds like a boy.

After that I tried to make more contact with the spirit but it stayed quiet so I put off the spirit box deciding that I should do a sweep of the house with the SLS camera. Which is a camera that detects human figures and also spirits sometimes.

I first walk around the living room where I last made contact with the spirit but when the SLS doesn't detect anything I move on.

None of the rooms have showed anything so far so I'm hoping that it might be in the bedroom where Mr. baker has seen this shadow staring at him while he's in bed. I move the SLS camera slowly around the room and freeze when is see this figure showing up on the screen and the figure appears to be waving.

"Hi?" I say unsure because I don't know what kind of spirit it is but from what Mr. baker told me I know I should be careful because it appears to be aggressive. The figure the suddenly disappears and a cold feeling goes through my body that leaves me frozen in place.

The sound of my phone ringing is what brings me back "Yeah?" "It's Zayn mate, I just saw this orb of light pass right through you! Are you ok?" "Yeah I'm fine mate just got a really cold feeling. I think I will come to the office now to do some research."

Zayn hums and tells me that that's a good idea before hanging up leaving me alone again in this weird house, I don't know what it is but something feels off.

I'm packing my stuff when I like there is someone staring at me, I turn around and scan the area quickly but I don't see anything. I was about to look back and my bag when I see something moving from the corner of my eye but when I turn to look that way it's already gone.

I shake my head I will just have to watch that footage when I'm at the office. I swing my bag on my shoulder and walk out of the house and once I'm outside I finally feel like I can breathe again.

I quickly drive to the office and roll my eyes as I see Niall's car standing in my spot! It literally has my name on it! He probably thinks that because he's dating Zayn that he can do this. I park my car a few blocks away from the office and get out with a huff knowing I will have to walk more then I wanted to.

After having to walk all the way to the office I finally take a seat behind my desk while I can't find Zayn anywhere so I just decide to do the research on my own.

I start by googling the address and something interesting pops up.

Louis Tomlinson 21 hung himself on the early morning of the 21st of may 2015.

That's only 5 years ago this could be it because there have been no other deaths in the house. I type in 'Louis Tomlinson' on google and I find the whole article that explains what has happened to him and I can't help but feel sorry for him and his family.

But one thing stood out to me.

"- Louis however had no underlying condition and no mental health issues that have been detected. His family also never saw it coming, the boy always seemed so happy and had a bright future according to his mom."

Maybe there is more to this story.

I scroll down even more to and that's when I see a picture of the boy and my eyes widen, he was absolutely gorgeous and his smile was so bright and beautiful, it even reached his beautiful sparking blue eyes.

Once I'm done staring at the beautiful boy I decide to see if I can anything happening in the house through the cameras I placed in there.

When I open the link to all the cameras something stands out to me, the light in the living room is on and I can swear that it wasn't on when I left. I decide that it's worth looking into and scroll the time back to where I can see that the light is still off and press play while staring at the screen not wanting to miss anything.

Then out of nowhere the light springs on and then a dark mist can be seen moving around, it appears to stop and turn around to look at the camera for a few seconds but what scares me the most is that it again looks to be waving at the camera before walking away again.

This spirit is different from what I've working with before but I want nothing more than to know more about the boy in the mist.
