"Girls, show Ethan to his room. Tristan, be a dear and bring his things upstairs. I'll be up in a moment" She turned away from the children to answer her phone.
"Rose, he's here. Yes, not a scratch on his head. I wouldn't allow that" Madison Cunningham laughed at her own joke as her sister replied on the phone from hundreds of miles away
"I'm sorry about all of this Maddy, I wouldn't have sent him if I wasn't desperate. He wanted to get away from all the fighting and frankly I didn't want him to witness his mother and father at their worst."
"Rose, I told you it's fine. I haven't seen my little nephew in a while; it will be nice for him to stay with us, besides Jessica and Courtney love him. He'll be fine with us" Madison Cunningham had always been the grown up between the two sisters, being older was one reason along with that she always took the lead. She didn't want her sister to ever have to worry about things that she could easily deal with it.
"The kids are going in; I'll make sure Ethan calls tonight. Love you" after a brief love you back Rose hung up the phone and Madison trailed into the apartment complex behind her children and nephew.
"You're going to love living in New York, Ethan. I'll show you all the best places and St Jude isn't as bad as Tristan makes it sound" Courtney began to say as her mother had reached them. Courtney and Jessica's arms were still linked with Ethan's and Tristan still had two suitcases behind him, Madison pressed the elevator button and flipped her long golden hair out of her face.
"Yes, Ethan. Nothing beats a New York bagel that's actually from New York" Jessica agreed with her sister as the elevator door pinged open and the five them entered.
The Cunningham's penthouse suite was at the top. It had five bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom to four of those as Courtney and Jessica's rooms were linked and the only way through was through the bathroom they shared. There was a main kitchen and a spacious living room.
Their penthouse was decorated in oranges, greens and reds. Their mother often redecorated when the mood was right and since fall was approaching, those colours seemed fitting. The elevator door pinged open. The group stepped out into the main hallway. As they begun to take off their coats, Tristan sulked off towards his room and moments later the slam of the door was audible.
"What's his problem?" Ethan motioned with his chin towards Tristan's bedroom door
"I think he's jealous. Most of the time he's the only guy in this house, dad's away for most of the year and your testosterone is probably a little threatening for him" Jessica said as she grabbed the handle of one of the suitcases
"Don't worry, he's not always like that" Courtney added as she grabbed the other suitcase handle. They both dragged the suitcase and Ethan joined them as they headed down the hall to his room which was the former guest room.
"The living room and kitchen is where you saw our mother disappear to, you know where Tristan's room is and our rooms are beside his. Mine is closest to the living room opposite Tristan's, Jess' is next door to yours. And here is your room, our parents room is the furthest down the hall if you need anything. There's an en-suite bathroom so you don't have to worry about Jessica spying on you" Courtney said as she concluded the tour and stopped short outside of the guest room.
"The only person you have to worry about stalking you is Courtney and her creepy cat" Jessica replied as she swung open the guest room
"Zee is not creepy" as if on cue Courtney's black cat rubbed itself against her leg and purred. She did the same to Jessica but hesitated as she reached Ethan, hissed and turned on her heels. Courtney watched as she sauntered off.
"I guess I won't have to worry about the cat any more" Ethan commented, Courtney laughed
"If you need anything, knock. I'll be next door" Jessica lazily waved as she entered her room and firmly closed the door behind her
"Do you need me to help you unpack?" Courtney asked as she rested the suitcase she was dragging by the bed
"No, it's all good" He nodded his appreciation as she left the room.
"Dinners at six" Courtney shouted as she was halfway towards the living room.

Hello Upper East Side, Gossip Girl here. It's been far too long, did you miss me? I'm sure your all dying to hear the latest gossip around Manhattan; having been gone for such a while I have seen so many things. Things have changed, B and S have gone to college, N has sailed off to god knows where. Out with the old and in with new I say. And boy is there new. It didn't take long for a new queen B to take a hold of Constance. As for me, well let's just say there have been a few changes here as well. But remember Upper East Siders, nothing is safe whilst I'm around.
Our favourite sets of twins have acquired a new bed buddy. Tall, blonde and possibly English was spotted entering their apartment complex with J and C on both arms and T trailing behind miserably with two suitcases in hand. Threes a crowd but four is just asking for trouble.
M and N spotted in Madison Square Garden's sharing a bottle of vodka, drowning your sorrows boys? You'll have to do better than a cheap bottle of vodka to forget about me.
B and D spotted with the family in the Russian Tea Room. Looking handsome as always B, no wonder C wants you all for herself.
