Valentina decided to put her phone down for good and ignore all messages from Diana. She couldn't believe how immature she was being, after all these years, she was still the same spoiled brat she had met.
Needless to say, her mood was ruined but she tried to fake a smile so that Rudy wouldn't notice.
"Hey so, they didn't have Margaritas, so I brought you a piña colada! Hope you like—" He stopped as soon as he saw the look on the girl's face.
"What's wrong Val?" He asked, putting the drinks down and sitting next to her.
"Nothing." She lied, faking a smile as she took a sip from her drink. "Mhm, taste like pineapple!"
Rudy gave her I know you're lying look, so she fessed up. "Fine. It's Diana." She confessed as she put down the drink. "Let's just say she and I have don't have the best history together, and well, having to work together will take a lot of me."
"Oh I had no idea. I'm sorry about that. But hey, at least you have me right? And I'm sure it can't get any worse than before." He insisted, nudging her shoulder while looking at her.
Valentina chuckled at his words, "You're right, how bad can it be?"
"That's my girl!" He answered, pulling her towards him with his arm.
