Chapter 2: confessions.... Maybe

Tanjiro: let's get some breakfast

Kanao: yeah

They both get up and go eat their breakfast together while shinobu just stares at them with a smile.

Shinobu: hey Kanao can I talk to you after your done eating.

Kanao: yeah sure

Kanao finishes eating and tells Tanjiro that she'll be right back

Kanao: so what did you want to talk about sister

Shinobu: (smirks) you like him don't you

Kanao: wahh n-no I don't

Shinobu: you sure

Kanao: okay fine I d-do but don't tell Tanjiro okay

Tanjiro: tell me what Kanao? (Confused face)

Kanao: (internal screaming) n-nothing

Shinobu: (laughs)

Kanao: (leaves to her room in a blushing mess)

Tanjiro: Kanao wait (follows her)

Tanjiro reaches kanao's room and knocks on her door

Tanjiro: hey Kanao are you okay?

Kanao: (in mind why did I run I can't face Tanjiro like this he probably heard what me and Shinobu were talking about)

Tanjiro: oh I guess you need some time alone I'll let you be okay if you need anything come talk to me

Kanao: (in mind I feel so bad for ignoring him)

A few hours go by and kanao wants to talk to Tanjiro and explain what happened to him

Kanao goes to tanjiro's room but he's not there

Kanao: I wonder were he is

Kanao asks zenitsu and inosuke if they know where Tanjiro might be but none of them know. Kanao goes and ask Shinobu to see if she knows where he was and to her surprise Shinobu does know but it wasn't good

Shinobu: Tanjiro was called for a solo mission and he only told me about it he said that when he comes back he wants to talk to you about something important

Kanao: a mission do you know where the mission is located

Shinobu: no I don't Kanao but you can't go you have to wait for him to return

Kanao: fine

With Tanjiro

Tanjiro: everything is going as planned I bought some flowers and some chocolates and also a beautiful hair pin

Tanjiro buys what is necessary later he arrives back at the butterfly mansion. Tanjiro finds Shinobu and asks her about Kanao and where she is

Shinobu: Kanao is in her room

Tanjiro: okay thank you

Tanjiro makes his way to kanao's room and knocks on her door

Kanao: come in

Tanjiro: hey Kanao

Kanao: hey Tanjiro how was your mission

Tanjiro: I didn't have a mission

Kanao: then why did Shinobu tell me you did

*Flashback*

Tanjiro: hey Shinobu can I talk to you about something

Shinobu: yeah of course what is it tanjiro

Tanjiro: so umm I like Kanao and I was wondering if I can ask her out

Shinobu: of course you can you've shown your worthy of protecting her and you'd make a great husband for her 😏

Tanjiro: (blushes) thank you Shinobu also I'll be going to buy some things to give her to make asking her out easier what does Kanao like?

Shinobu: well she likes chocolate and roses

Tanjiro: okay I'll go buy that for her if she asks about me tell her I went on a solo mission

Shinobu: will do

*end of flashback*

Tanjiro: I told her to tell you that so I can do this

Kanao: huh?

Tanjiro gives Kanao the flowers and chocolates and the hair pin and asks Kanao

Tanjiro: Kanao would you like to be my girlfriend

Kanao: (in mind is this real)

Kanao was about to say something when she woke up

Kanao: it was all just a dream (starts getting sad)

Someone knocks on the door

Kanao: come in

Tanjiro: hey Kanao

Kanao: hey Tanjiro how was your mission

Tanjiro: I didn't have a mission

Kanao: ( wait this is just like my dream could it be) then why did Shinobu tell me that you went on a solo mission

Tanjiro: I told her to tell you that so I can do this

Tanjiro gives Kanao the flowers, chocolates and the hairpin

Tanjiro: Kanao tsuyuri would you like to be my girlfriend.

Kanao: ( in mind it is real) YES TANJIRO I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND (hugs Tanjiro)

Tanjiro: I'm glad (hugs back on kisses her)

Kanao: ( shocked but kisses back)

Shinobu: (clears throat)

Tanjiro and kanao: ( breaks hug and kiss) how much of that did you see 😀

Shinobu: all of it. And I'm proud of you Tanjiro

Tanjiro: thank you for helping me with the plan Shinobu and thank you for everything... sister-in-law 😊

Shinobu: 😳 oh of course Tanjiro I'll be leaving now you two love birds can do what you two were doing

Kanao: what did you mean when you said "sister-in-law"?

Tanjiro: well I plan on making you my wife some day so why else would I not call her sister-in-law

Kanao: oh okay that makes sens- WHAT YOU PLAN ON WHAT

Tanjiro: hehe I plan on marrying you Kanao tsuyuri

Kanao: o..h o....kay

Tanjiro: heh (kisses Kanao)

Kanao: (kisses back)

Tanjiro: ( breaks kiss) I love you Kanao

Kanao: I love you too Tanjiro
