now that 'nameless flower' has officially ended, i wanted to address a few things that may have resulted in confusion, or were sprinkled in.

what happened to taehyuns friends (FICTIONAL)
it's not obvious, but the four friends were a part of his imagination. that explained why the old woman wasn't able to see the friends in the photo and could only see taehyun, but taehyun could. taehyun imagined them, they were his imaginary friends. he always knew they weren't real, but it pained him when it was told to him out loud. he didn't want to believe it

the nameless flower. (FICTIONAL)
coming up with this story, i did TONS of research trying to find which flowers symbolized _____. but in the end, i decided to just end up going with a nameless flower. it was a flower that was special to the five of them, while it did symbolize remembrance and hope, it also symbolized imagination. i couldn't find a flower that went with all of those, so in the end, i decided on this.

taehyun's fear of thunderstorms. (FICTIONAL)
this was VERY mildly addressed in the story, but in the beginning, there was a huge thunderstorm. taehyun was crouched in the middle of his room in fear. this goes along with how his friends happened to pass during a thunderstorm. he loved the rain because it brought the five of them together, he's fearful of thunderstorms because it took his friends away from him.

why the others didn't tell taehyun about the true meaning of the nameless flower. (FICTIONAL)
they truly couldn't bring themselves to tell taehyun that the nameless flower actually symbolized imagination, so they played it off. they wanted taehyun to 'figure it out himself' because in the end, he was and is their best friend, even though they never existed. they want him to not be upset at them for not telling him about it, but for him to be understanding about the situation. in the end, it's your choice what you believe the best decision was <3

the frame in the convenience store. (FICTIONAL)
i actually purposefully left this part vague. taehyun had seen the frame that held the "nameless flower" in it. the convenience store owner had known about the flower, just not what it meant to taehyun. of course, taehyun wouldn't say exactly why he liked the flower, it was personal to him and his friends after all.

why taehyun did art. (FICTIONAL)
i still wanted to address this question, even if it seems self-explanatory. art is a way for me to express myself, i do it along with writing. i thought that it would be really interesting if i made the main character do art, as a way to express their emotions, which also led to the emotional ending. everybody knew taehyun was a painter, due to how small the town was. so the store owners asked what new art pieces taehyun was up to

the empty flower vase. (FICTIONAL)
taehyun had placed the flower that his friends told him to keep, in it. of course, it had been a year and it had died, but he couldn't bring himself to get rid of the old and dead flowers. in the end, taehyun finally ended up placing the new nameless flowers into the vase, to show how his friendship with all five of them wouldn't die off, even if the flowers do.

the painting. (FICTIONAL)
all throughout the story, taehyun knew he wanted to paint something as a memory of the five of them. he worked on it all through the story, and at the end, he had finished it. it was a way i decided to tie the story all together. a painting of the five of them.

in the end, this story was one of my favorites to write. though it may have been boring to many, or may have been very.. dull (?) it was really nice to write, a way for me to escape everything and just write.

thank you for supporting this book, "nameless flower", i hope you'll come again to read another book of mine <3
