They had four month left before returning to Beacon when Stiles woke to burning on his thighs and calves, he looked and found the markings for necromancy, divination, evocation and transmutation brightly colored in his skin.
He swore out loud, cursing his luck, he would now have to spend his last four months learning his new skills.
Aria woke to find him pacing in nothing more than his briefs, she instantly noticed his new markings and let out a low whistle, her mate was unlucky.
His combination of new markings would mean he was like a neon sign for ghosts and spirits, he would need some shielding pendants added to his hair and pants.
Aria was excited to see everyone react when they saw Stiles when he got back, he had decided to hide only his weapons, wings and ears, he would glamour his pants and boots to look human but his chains and pendants and buckles would stay in sight.
His tops and jackets would be purchased in the human world and fit his wild fae look, Aria was giggling as he left the house still only wearing his briefs.
The people were so used to their wild prince none of them even blinked at his almost naked parade through the town.
Lucian grunted at the sight of his friends new markings, then laughed as he saw his outfit choice of the day, Stiles hissed at his friend and stalked to the necromancy hut.
Maab was there to meet him as he appeared hours later pale and shaking, with spider webs added to some of his hair twists and a dark blue web marking running down a hip and appearing at the back of his briefs, it was clear the web marking would drape down hiss butt cheek.
Maab had found Stiles and Aria a loft on the edge of the preserve and town, it was brand new and a blank canvas, she gave them the keys and the seal of council, they were now in charge of the hunters in America and the supes in the Beacon area.
The next day Stiles didn't leave the evocation block until after lunch, he was shaking and pale and being supported by an evocation fae named Brien, this time he walked out with no new markings, but had bars and hoops and studs of silver and gold and Aria thought even some crystals and rocks threaded into his skin.
His healing had kicked in, but it was Stiles, he hated needles, Aria didn't know how bad it was until they got home and she saw him naked.
His ear lobes had two black studs in each, the points of both ears had a silver industrial, his left ear had a chain running from the barbell to a stud while his right ear had an obsidian hoop through the tragus with an anti possession charm hanging off it.
He had two bars in his right eyebrow and a hoop in his left, they were all gold and the balls of the bars had been etched with enochian symbols.
He had a tongue piercing the bar was blue steel with a demon seal pressed into the ball.
His nipples had been pierced and silver bars with black end balls had been used, it wasn't the end, to Aria's surprise he had also been fitted with a prince albert, she thought he looked hot.
Stiles was still traumatised, he had needed to use his evocation magic the entire time they were stabbing him with needles, and they made him watch while they poked holes in him.
Aria ran him a bath and fussed over him until he had his color back, she listened as he spoke about each pircing being either a dampener or conduit or protection ward, to stop him being destroyed by the things he would evoke.
Maab came to visit and blinked at her prince, he looked like a wild warrior of old, the likes of which hadn't been seen in centuries, and to see him next to his delicate mate was like leaping from one extreme to the next.
Maab was trying to spend as much time with the couple as possible, soon they would be back in Beacon and she would have to wait years in fairy until she could see them again.
Maab watched as Stiles fell asleep on the couch wrapped around Aria, his warkings and most of his piercings on display, she wished his life had been different.
If Claudia had let him stay in fairy on school breaks he would have developed his markings and training at a slower pace, instead it was being crammed into three years.
Each step should have been celebrated, and discussed, the piercings had been spread over months or years for other evocation users, but her poor little prince had suffered it in hours.
At least Maab now knew why he had been blessed to find his mate as fast as he had, a lot of fae took centuries to feel the heart pitter of a mate, it could even happen with a best friend.
Aria was running her hands along the length of Stiles' back, helping his muscles to relax after his morning, Aria had guessed she was the only one who knew why he hated needles as deeply as he did.
Maab left the couple alone and prayed the next day would be easier on Stiles, she wasn't sure his mind could take much more in such a short stretch of time.
For once her prayers were answered and the remaining months were peaceful and easy for Stiles and Aria, he completed his new training and managed to earn a second set of twin fae swords.
The party they had the night before Stiles and Aria was filled with so much joy the realm danced and swayed along with the fae.
