"Midnight stroll" ~ Fluff n' hurt/comfort

"I absolutely cannot believe that you have talked me into this." sighed Scarlet as she walked beside her girlfriend Tatters. "Oh come on! You needed the exercise" Tatters teased giving a slight giggle.

The pale white moon shone as it was at the peak of the sky, it was absolutely perfect. Tatters had planned the whole evening for there special date making sure that everything was to scarlets liking. Then again everything could go wrong and scarlet would hate her. But tatters ignored that thought, there was no way she would worry her lover any more than she had to, after all she had a lot on her plate.

Meanwhile scarlet was confused to what tatters was up to, it wasn't normal for her to be so silent, she would either be screaming her head off about a spider in her tent, or nagging her about dumb stuff. 

But tonight was different...

Midway through there walk, Tatters grasped scarlets hand and had stopped walking. "Are you okay?" Asked scarlet concerned. "What. Um, Oh yeah! I'm great! You?" Tatters spoke shakily. Scarlet stopped in her tracks, 

ok, something's definitely wrong!

Scarlet knelt down tatters height, Tatters looked absolutely petrified, plus her body was completely shaking. "Tell me what's wrong" scarlet said firmly pulling tatters closer to her. "You can me anything sweetie" she said cupping tatters cheek.

"I- I don't know what your talking about, I'm just fine!" Tatters turned her head.

Oh great! I just ruined another date! How pathetic! Thought tatters darkly

"No your not" scarlet said pulling her into a hug. "I do not like seeing you upset" 

As soon as scarlet finished, Tatters began to tear up letting out muffled sobs as she pressed her face on scarlets chest. "I-I, didn't want t-to ruin t-this, I-I'm so s-sorry" Tatters said gripping scarlets shoulders crushingly. "Hey, hey, it's okay!" Scarlet said stroking tatters head. 

It hurt seeing tatters like this, she could not help crying a little as well. After a short while they had both calmed down. "I'm so sorry" Tatters said wiping away a tear. "Dont you say sorry, you have nothing to be sorry for" scarlet said kissing tatters forehead. "But I do want to know why you started crying?" She asked.

Tatters sighed, "tonight was gonna be extra special for my extra special person, b-but what if it all went wrong, you would not wanna spend time with me anymore because I'm a fucking dumb klutz!" Tatters said growling a bit at herself. "You are not a klutz, and I would never just abandon you!" Suddenly the realization came to her. "You were planning a surprise date, weren't you?"

Tatters nodded, "yes, well it was supposed to be, now it's more like an "surprise date that's not really a surprise, more like a regular date, date" tho" 

Scarlet and tatters stood up, "do you still want to do this date? We can always go home and make Ranger buy 2 buckets of ice cream for you" scarlet asked. "No, i still want to," Tatters said shining a tiny smile at scarlet. "Okay" scarlet replied.

As they continued walking, there hands were intertwined and tatters was lightly leaning against scarlets body. "This isn't weird right?" Asked tatters giggling nervously. "Ppfh, you kidding, it's adorable. And whoever thinks otherwise is a weirdo" scarlet said with a corny smile. "Oh stop it you!" Giggled Tatters blushing. 

After a while they found a small table and bench to rest on, soon all they heard was the sound of crickets chirping and cooing sounds Of owls on small trees. "This is strangely calm, I like it" scarlet whispered closing her eyes and leaning back on the table behind her. "I knew  you would enjoy it" tatters purred. 

Scarlet looked down at tatters who was looking like she might fall asleep any second now, "are you tired or something?" Scarlet asked amused. "Huh?! Oh no! Not yet!" Tatters responded groggily. "There is still something that is....." Tatters began until she dozed off. Scarlet giggled softly.

Suddenly there was a loud boom up ahead them, jolting Tatters awake And startling scarlet. "AH!!" Yelped tatters. "What was that!?" Scarlet asked concerned. They both heard Another boom and looked up. There was a huge, bright, sparkly firework nearly above them. "YES! ITS HAPPENING!" Tatters squealed in excitement. They both watched in awe as beautiful fireworks lit up the sky and let off loud noises afterwards, "its so beautiful" scarlet whispered, "I know, it reminds me of when we first met" hummed tatters softly. Scarlet turned to look towards tatters. "I love you Tatters" scarlet said leaning towards tatters in a flirty way. Tatters looked back at scarlet and started to blush, "what are you doing you dork" she said laughing. "I'm gonna kiss you", I thought you would get the hint" teased scarlet. "Well if it's a kiss you want, them it's a kiss you get" smiled tatters beginning to lean forward. 

As they kissed, Tatters couldn't help giggling throughout there make out session, although it wasn't very uncommon in there relationship by now. By the time they had finished the last of the fireworks had finished with a bang. "Hmm, that's was nice" purred tatters softly, "of course it was" replied scarlet replied with a chuckle. "Well we should head back before chaos ensues" "aww, yeah I guess we do" Tatters said groaning, scarlet smiled at tatters, "thank you for this lovely date cutie" "y-your welcome heheh" Tatters giggled flustered by the nickname scarlet gave her. 

"But first-" Tatters said as she slowly grasped scarlets hand. "What are you up to?" Scarlet asked slowly standing up. "I I just wanna hold your hand.... for a bit... it's not everyday when... uh... you can hold hands alone.." Tatters said stuttering. "Well if you must" scarlet said using her free hand to play with the fur on her ears. 

Of course every story has an ending, they both eventually went home for a well deserved sleep. UwU
