I was tearing through every monster that came across my path. If onlookers were to describe me it would be 'a tornado of black, bronze and gold' churning through the battlefield towards Gaea. I was closing in on Gaea's position atop Half-Blood Hill when I saw her, my wise girl, be impaled by the spear of a Giant. My mind went blank as I watched the blade pierce her back and as her body collapsed to the floor, blood began to pool around her.My mind was empty, the battle forgotten, the image of her laying in her blood staring up at the sky was the only thing I could see. I released a shout from the core of my being as I fell to my knees, the ground as if responding to my pain began to crack and crumble. Water began forming all around, flowing from the cracked earth, gathering from the lake and forming from the air.
I slowly raised my head to gaze upon the field, all I could see was Annabeth's body and Gaea's twisted smile. The rage I kept locked deep within my heart began to break through my barriers, it consumed me. I stood to my feet and released a battle cry as I launched myself towards Gaea and her army. Another Giant blocked my path, it lumbered towards my charging form, cocking its arm preparing to slam its club down on my body. I baseball slid between its legs while slicing at its ankle with Riptide, the Celestial Bronze blade slid through the Giants Achilles Tendon. It released a cry of pain and sank to its knees, I pivoted towards the downed Giant and simply placed my palm upon its back. My stomach twisted and my muscles contracted as I pushed towards the Giant.
All movements cease as the Giant's pain-filled cry is reduced to a barely audible wheeze followed by a sickening crunch as the Giant's rib cage is crushed and forced into its lungs. I looked on coldly as the Giants hulking form convulsed violently before collapsing motionless on the blood-stained ground. I plunged Riptide through the monster's back and continued my warpath towards Gaea. Her face slowly shifted from a confident sneer into a nervous and uneasy grimace as I grew ever closer to the top of Half-Blood Hill. As I reached her, the rampage I had woven through the horde of monsters came to a halt. I stared into her iridescent, pine-green eyes. Gripping Riptide's handle I began my hate-filled march towards Dirt Face.
