Over the next few weeks everything was kinda normal at castle Dimitrescu. Donna came over very often and played together with the three sisters and Melisande came to know the little doll Angie much better. "One day",the doll said when they walked around the grounds together with Donna and Alcina "We have to bake something together. I am sure you are a very good baker." Melisande had just laughed.
One evening Melisande was getting ready for dinner which was kind of a challenge if you are seven months pregnant, but she insisted on doing it alone since she knew that Alcina had enough work with the castle and it's servants as well as with her three daughters. She sat down at the dressing table, brushing her long golden hair while looking into her own eyes. She hoped her child would not have these eyes as they reminded her of what she had seen through all these years. They had seen love and passion, luck and happiness, but also pain and hatred, betrayal and destruction. Her eyes had seen things so cruel that she began to hate them. She felt like these events had taken the life out of her eyes. making them lackluster. She hoped her last child would have her golden hair and her pale skin and she hoped that her child would not have any magic abilities. The chance of that happening was very small as she herself was a very powerful witch, but it did happen once. Her oldest daughter was born a human like her father and she was happy, because dealing with magic was painful. If you cannot control your magic it will hurt your little body, it makes it burst. A child's body was not able to take this amount of magic.
There was one thing she did not show Alcina concerning her past. Seeing her three children die was not the first time she saw her children die in her arms. The baby in her belly was not her fourth, but her sixth child. She had lost two sons, because their bodys were not able to handle the magic within them. Her oldest son died at the age of 3. His magic had made him believe that he was able to fly. He hugged her, saying: "Mother, I think I can fly. I feel so light.". He was her first child so she did not know the dangers and had just laughed it off. Just half an hour later her son jumped out of the window. When he died she was pregnant with her second child, a boy again. He died at the age of 4. His magic had made him bleed over and over again. He died from blood loss in her arms crying for help, but there was nothing she could do. Her little boys had her eyes, those silver eyes...

Melisande sighted and placed the hairbrush down, standing upright to check her dress. It was a Victorian dress made out of a dark reddish brown damask. She wore pearls around her neck and on her ears. As a final touch she pinned a dark rose into her golden hair. Satisfied with her reflection, she turned around and left Alcinas room, which was now hers as well. She smiled when her ganze met the little bed in the room. Alcina had ordered a maiden to buy it for the baby.
The halls were quiet as always, but when she came near the entrance hall she began to hear loud voices.

"Shut up, filthy idiot!", Alcina shouted.
"You better shut your damn mouth! You started this nonsense as always! Is there not single fucking chance that you let me talk before behaving like the bitch you are?!"

Alcina laughed and rolled her eyes."I did not start! You walked in like this is your castle! Is your rusty old factory not good enough for your childish games?!What do you even want here?"

The man breathed heavily and gestured dangerously with his big hammer before he screamed: "Fine!I am here to see if you're ok!! Happy now, bitch!?"

An awkward silence followed, before Alcina let out a sarcastic laugh, but before she could say something, a light voice from the top of the stairs made them both shut up. "Good evening, Lord Heisenberg." The siblings turned to the stairs, both looked surprised. Melisande looked down at them observing the situation. A light smile adorned her lips, she acted like she never heard them argue. With elegant movements she came down the stairs never losing the eye contact with the both of them.

Heisenberg looked at her up and down a few times before looking back at Alcina. "How in the seven circles of hell, did you get a woman pregnant?",he asked, but before Alcina could explain he fastly waved his hands in front of his face. "You know what? I don't wanna fucking know." Alcina glared down at him with a dangerous look as he approached Melisande, took his hat off and bowed lightly, a dirty smirk on his lips. "Good evening. May I ask what such an attractive woman like you is doing in the castle of this giant vampire bitch?" Alcina felt like throwing up at his words. "First of all, Mylord-", Melisande started, "-she is not a 'bitch' and second of all: her daughter found me in her courtyard and I was already pregnant.", she glared at him. Heisenberg laughed and put his head back on. "Sorry, sorry.", he grinned and looked into her silver eyes. Melisande nodded and walked towards Alcina, who bent down to kiss her forehead. Heisenberg dramatically rolled his eyes. "Now I see what the reason is that Miranda wanted to get rid of you.", his voice sounded not as sarcastic as a few minutes before. Alcina however felt the urge to grab her brother's head and crush it in her hand. Melisande brushed her arm, trying to calm her down. Although she wouldn't admit it, it hurt her to hear those words again. Yes, her mother wanted to get rid of her, wanted to kill her and her lover and , which was the most hurting, her unborn child as well.

Melisande turned back to Heisenberg. "Excuse me?", she said with a light smile. The Lord snorted in an annoyed manner, grabbing a cigar, but before he could lit it, he stopped in his movements, putting the cigar back in his pocket. "Shouldn't smoke in front of a pregnant lady.", he said quietly, his voice sounding like a deep growl. When he finally answered the question he leant onto his hammer while talking. "We had a few of these useless meetings. Without you.", he gestured in Alcinas direction, "And that bitch Miranda was behaving like a freak, like she had lost the last bit of damn brain cells. Her nose was bleeding from time to time and when it was happening she started to scream that you had betrayed her. Must say I was freaking excited to hear that story, but she did not say a fucking word.", he made a little pause, like he was thinking about his next words very carefully. "She was really mad at you and called you really nasty names which made me angry. Not that I would care about you or anything, but the only person calling you a 'fucking bitch' is me.", his voice became louder at the end. He huffed. "I am here to see what you could have done.", he looked at Melisande through his glasses, "You should have known better, Alcina."

The Countess was shocked to hear her name out of his mouth in an almost caring tone. She crossed her arms in front of her chest looking sternly at him. "What should I have known better?" "Are you fucking dumb?!"Heisenberg screamed, "Use your brain for once! Not only that you are in love with this woman, who happens to be one of the most powerful witches in this hell of a world, no, she is pregnant! Don't you fucking understand?!" Alcinas face started to get red from anger. "Do not talk to me like that!", she screamed back at her little brother. "I talk to you how I fucking want! Are you a deadhead? She will kill all of you! You better pray to some bloody god that she will give birth to a fucking son!" The Countess extended her claws. "Her pregnancy is none of your goddamn business!" "Oh yes it is! Because if she gets a daughter the freaking hell will break loose!"

And so the arguing continued for a few more minutes. Noone seemed to notice that Melisande suddenly experienced a lot of pain. Their voices were so loud that they did not hear her heavy breathing or notice how she was bending forward. Contractions. She was going into labor and they did not stop. Sweat ran down her temple. She was afraid as she was realizing that it was too soon. This was going to be a premature birth. 'Please no', she thought, tears forming in her eyes. The one being closest to her was Heisenberg, so she grabbed his arm, before experiencing a sharp pain which made her cry out. The Lord looked at her in surprise and when she looked up, her tears fell down her cheeks. The only thing she was able to say was: "Too soon..."
