Running

She ran and ran and ran and ran. She could feel her legs hurting and would beg them to stop but they wouldn't give up. Her hand wouldn't help either, they couldn't have anyway. There was nothing to hold to there, just sand and sand and more sand. Anywhere her eyes showed her there was only sand, infinite sand. Her heart was the only one on her side, but it was weak and wouldn't be able to hold much longer. Her lungs weren't happy either, but they loved the heart and tried to help it as much as possible. Her eyes closed and then she couldn't ignore them anymore.

The screams.

They were awful, they hurt. She had been able to ignore them for a while by looking for a way to escape but she couldn't help it anymore. Now everything she could do was feel the pain her body and hear those awful screams. And then she felt it. It was asking for forgiveness.

Her heart had given up.

And together

They all fell.
