Marinette POV

Marinette woke, as usual, only this time with purpose. Today she will end Hawkmoth's rein, no matter what. Though determined, it did nothing to ease her nerves. Something wasn't right. But she just chalked it up to being nerves. She put on a plain grey shirt and some black leggings before throwing on a black hoodie. The colors were a dark contrast to the light pastel colors she used to wear on a daily basis.

Though that wasn't the the only thing that changed drastically in the bluenette's life as of recent. And this was all thanks to a snake that showed up with with sausages for hair. Though she should thank her for finding out she was friends with a bunch of leeches. Don't get her wrong, she knew they somewhat good people, but the fact that they dropped just because she refused to bow down and just be another minion was a low blow on their part not gonna lie.

Marinette opened the little purse she still carried around, signaling for her kwami to hide in. She made her way downstairs to the kitchen to make herself a rather large cup of coffee. She needed something to keep her up throughout the day. The blunette placed a few cookies in her purse for her kwami to munch on until lunch would arrive. She heard a cheerful thank you coming from her purse before she closed it once more. At least one of them was a tad bit cheerful this foul day.

She made her downstairs towards the bakery and was met with the amazing smell of freshly baked croissants. As she opened the backdoor she was met with a cheerful, "Morning sweetheart!" from her Father who was carrying large sacks of flour, though they looked rather small in his large hands.

"Morning Papa. Do you need help with those?" she asked. "Oh no, I'm okay and besides, we don't need you covered in flour before you leave for school do we?" he said as he started shuffling away. Marinette let a small smile slip onto her face before making her way to her mother who was out front handling orders.

"Morning Maman." she said as she stood next to her mother. "Morning dear! Did you sleep well? Your awfully early today." her mother said as she handed the customer their baked goods. "I just wanted to be early today, that's all. I'll be leaving now, Bye!" the girl said to her parents as she left for school.

On her way out she noticed her mother looking at her with sadness in her grey eyes. Or the fact that their smiles had looked strained. The heroine did not care though, she was too worried about the battle that would occur a few hours later.

She slipped her phone out of her pocket and noted the large amount of text messages she had received from her remaining friends. Some were just asking her about her weekend and so on. She made it to the school doors in record time and made her way in the seemingly empty school. She had realized a little while after Lila's reign that it would be in her best interest to be first unless she wanted to witness her classmates heated glares and Lila's smug face.

As she entered the seemingly empty classroom, she noted that there was someone already inside. Of course it was the Mayor's beloved daughter Chloe Bourgeois in all her glory. The peculiar thing was that she was seated in the seat next to Marinette's.

Marinette only nodded in greeting as she sat in the seat next to the Blonde. Let's just say that after the Hawkmoth shit she was hoping to start a friendship with her.

Little did she know about what was about to happen.

Ladybug POV

Ladybug used her yoyo to propel herself from rooftop to rooftop. She admired the the scenery as she ran into the night and the way the wind blew past her face with how fast she was going. Out in the distance, was the iridescent glow of the stars lighting up the night sky. As she drew closer to the place her partner and her agreed to meet up, Arc De Triomphe, she made out the silhouette of her cat themed partner.
