It was now time to board the train. She met up with Tim. She didn't recognise him at first since he had grown some muscles. They boarded the train and sat in their usual compartment. They were alone for a minute until Misty walked in and sat next to Tim."Where's Cormac?" Misty asked.
Amber frowned and that's all Tim needed to know he said goodbye to Misty.
"She didn't have to leave."
Tim shook his head, walked over to her side of the compartment and said. "Tell me what happened with Cormac."
Amber sighed and said. "I broke up with him because he tried something with me and I felt awkward around his family."
"How dare he!" Tim exclaimed.
The two friends continued chatting until there was a chill in the air. Though, neither one of them were affected by it. They arrived in Hogsmeade station around six pm and did their usual routine.
---
It was now time for the first Defence lesson. She had it with the Slytherins so she was walking with Tim to class.
"Morning Professor," Amber chimed, putting down her books in the front row.
The new professor looked up at her and said. "Good morning." He looked down at the roll sheet and asked. "Name?"
"Amber Tonks," she smiled at him as she sat down.
Tim smirked playfully at her from the back of the classroom and said. "Also known as Miss Teacher's Pet."
"Shut it, Selwyn," she snapped at him equally as playfully her light brown eyes twinkling mischievously.
"Yes, ma'am," Tim said, mock saluting her.
Melissa walked in behind her best friend and said. "Enough flirting, you two."
"Who says we're flirting."
"I have a girlfriend, Manning."
Melissa said. "I bet you two will be together by next year."
"Fat chance!" The two brunettes exclaimed in unison.
The professor smiled fondly and said. "Please sit down, Miss Manning, Mr. Selwyn and Miss Tonks."
The three fourth years sat down. The rest of the students filed in and the lesson started.
"He's so smart and knowledgeable much better than the last two we've had," Amber gushed.
Melissa glared at her at the biting comment about Lockhart.
"You're not above having a crush on a teacher."
"It's more that I have a crush on his brain, he's way too old for me," Amber clarified.
The two of them nodded.

It was now time for the first Quidditch match of the season Amber walked down to the pitch with Tim. Usually the game was Gryffindor/Slytherin but since Draco had insulted Hagrid's Hippogriff he got hurt so it was Gryffindor/Hufflepuff. The match began. Although it was only about thirty minutes in when there was a chill in the air, Harry fell off his broom and Hufflepuff won. After the game, Tim and Amber went their separate ways. Amber went to the Hufflepuff common room and Tim went to go meet Misty.
"Hey Misty," he greeted, kissing her cheek.
She smiled at him but it wasn't a full smile.
"What's going on?"
"I want you to stop hanging out with Amber."
Tim was flabbergasted at his girlfriend's request.
"It was fine when she was dating Cormac but not anymore. Unless you can get her back together with Cormac."
Tim gaped and exclaimed. "I wouldn't get her back together with that lecherous pervert if you paid me a million galleons!"
The librarian shushed him.
"So, it's either me or her."
"That's not a hard choice, Amber."
"It was nice knowing you, Selwyn."
Tim left the library. He really did like her but he can't believe she asked him to choose between her and Amber.
---
It was a few days later Amber was hanging out with Tim.
"Did you break up with Misty?"
Tim nodded and said. "Yes, I did. She wanted me choose between you and her."
"You chose me?"
Tim grinned. "I sure did."
Amber blushed.
Before Tim could respond a girl walked up to him and asked him out. He immediately said yes.
"You're moving on quick," Amber said.
"I guess these girls have a weakness for these arms," he said flexing his bicep teasingly.
Amber rolled her eyes playfully. She has to admit that she would love to be held in his arms.
