The Bitter Cup

The Bitter Cup

The bitter cup
Comes on the tray
Do not shudder
Or run away

Great is its bitter taste
But brings much reward
So don't reject in haste
Just trust in the Lord

Much joy springs forth
When the cup is taken
It becomes sweet
When faith is not shaken
