Chapter 2: Welcome to the Ninja Academy

Six years later...

A young six-year-old girl with long red, pale skin and green snake eyes with a hint of yellow walked through the village with her mother and father.

"Are you ready for the first day of the Academy?" The mother asked, looking at her daughter.

"Yes!" The young girl cheered.

"Someone sure is excited," The father said with a slight chuckle.

"Well, of course, it brings me a step closer to achieving my dream," she smiled as she walked academy.

"Oh, and what exactly is that dream, Shiki?" Her father asked.

"I'm going to become a shinboi stronger than uncle Orochimaru and become a member of the ANBU!" Shiki said with a wide smile.

'Such determination she just like Nawaki. Speaking of him, it's a shame he didn't survive his first c-rank mission being ambushed by Hidden mist ninja. My little brother changed that day. He became more antisocial. I can't blame him. He was only 16 and saw his second death. While third, if you count, are parents separately.' Her mother thought, looking at her daughter.

"Alright, seems we are here," Her father said, and Shiki looked to see a large building was now in front of her and her parents. So busy talking with her parents, she didn't realize they had reached their destination.

"Remember, princess, show them what you can do. Do your best and never give, and one day that dream of yours will come true," Her father said, giving her an extra boost of confidence.

She looked at her mother as she smiled at her daughter, giving her an encouraging nod. Shiki smiled in return before she walked away from them but only a couple of feet from them. She turned and gave them the famous Hebi snake grin showing her fangs.

"Don't worry, Kaa-san, Tou-san. No matter what, I ace everything and become ANBU captain one day!" She gave a thumbs-up, and her parents returned it with a nod.

Shiki's P.O.V

I walked into a large room where all the other students seemed to be waiting. I went over to a corner and stood against the wall, and took in my surroundings. I spotted a Hyuga, two Uchiha, one boy with a puppy on his head, probably an Inuzuka. Along with a girl with a puppy on her head. I also noticed a girl with short green hair, probably a civilian. The last kid I noticed was a boy with sunglasses an Aburame.

"Hey."

I turned to my left and saw a boy the same age as me based on his height. He had sun-kissed blonde hair and beautiful blue, cerulean eyes. He also seemed kind of girly, in my opinion.

"Hi?" I said, confused about what he was suddenly doing near me.

"You seem lonely, so I thought I might accompany you," The blonde said.

I hum in response.

"Tell me what your name?" He asked. I glanced st him and replied.

"It's polite to say your name first before asking someone else their name," I replied with a smirk. He scratched the nack of his head in embarrassment, cheeks turning pink.

"My bad, my name is Minato Namikaze!" He smiled.

"Shiki Hebi Uzumaki," I replied.

"A Hebi and Uzumaki?" He asked.

"Is there something wrong with that?" I asked.

"No, it just doesn't. The Hebi clan only had two members left, and isn't Uzumaki the first Hokage wife?" He said, confused.

"Well yeah, it's just my Kaa-san and her Otouto-san. While my Tou-san is the nephew of the first hokage wife."

"Oh."

Our attention was drawn to the front as the Hokage gave a speech welcoming everyone that made the entrance exam to the Academy and telling us this was the first step on the road to becoming a ninja and work hard so we could graduate when we reach the final year of the Academy or possibly graduate early depending on are performance.

When his speech was over, everyone was dismissed by classroom number

Surprisingly, the class I ended up in had most of the kids; I noticed earlier in the room all the students were gathered in.

"Hello, since this is the first day, how about we start with introductions. I go first. My name is Yamamoto Ren. I am a seventeenth-year-old chunin, and I love teaching, so I decided not to take promotion to Jounin."

"Talk about troublesome. My name is Nara Shikaku.

"Yamanaka Inoichi."

"Akemichi Choza

"Inuzuka Tsume."

"Inuzuka Kaito!"

"Aburame Shibi."

It continued for a while as more people introduced themselves. Most of the civilians' names I didn't listen to through only because that didn't catch my attention.

"Hyuga Hanko."

"Uchiha Mikoto and Uchiha Menma."

"Uzumaki Shiki!"

And more kids continued to introduce themselves after me.
