8. New kid

Pacing back and forth in my room I decided it was stupid and wrong to confess to Bart so I hurried and text him I couldn't come. He obviously don't like me, placing my phone on my nightstand. I got into the shower and brushed my teeth in bed. Then laid down and proceeded to go to sleep.

I slowly start shifting in my sleep, but managed to go back to sleep.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I groaned slightly hearing my alarm go off. I turned and reached to turn it off. I stretched for a little as I was yawning. Then I proceeded to get out of bed. I walked into the bathroom and did all the things that needed to be done.

I showered, brushed my hair, brushed my teeth, picked out my outfit of the day and headed downstairs to get something to eat.

"Goodmoring Honey" My mom says as I walk down the stairs.

I picked my head up and smiled "goodmoring" I said cheerfully.

I ate my breakfast and headed towards the door, As I grabbed my bag I turned and waved goodbye to my parents before I left for school.

I walked out of the house closing the door behind me and decided to walk to school today.

As I was walking to school I kept thinking about Bart for some reason.

Could I actually like him? Noo thats crazy.

I can't like Bart! He's one of my closest friends. It could ruin the friendship.

I could avoid him for a little, could I?
Yeaaa, I can. I kinda have to right?

-at school-

I was putting my stuff into my locker when I heard Lisa voice.

"Hey y/n, we was waiting for you at the bus stop" she said.

Slightly smiling I replied "yah, I decided to walk, sorry for not giving you a heads up"

Just as I see Bart walk up, I turned my attention to him waved awkwardly and started to walk away.

"I'll see you later lis" before she replied I hurried away. I stopped to the bathroom to give myself a break before class start.

I hear the warning bell ring so I hurried to class, as I walked in I spot Bart in our usually seats. I looked at him with sad eyes wanted to sit next to him. As he was waving me over I sadly turned and took the seat next to Milhouse. Looking back at Bart, I saw his eyes that looked like a flash of hurt and confusion in them, I turned around to face the teacher.

"Okay kids! We have a new student with us" Ms.Krappable said just as a boy with blonde hair and green eyes walked into the classroom.

It felt like he was staring right at me, as I looked up we made eye contact as he shot me a little smirk. I blushed slightly and looked back down.

The teacher began talking again "please introduce yourself"

"Of course, hello my name is Alex.." as he continued talking about himself I listened carefully.

Bart sat in the back of the class glaring at the new kid after seeing what happened. I looked back and saw him.

Was Bart Simpson jealous?

I broke out of my trance when I felt Alex arm brush my lightly as he walked passed me to go take his seat.

-at lunch-

The normal crew took their seat with me next to Lisa and milhouse next to Bart across from us. I still was trying to ignore Bart, because I did not want to risk our friendship with these feelings that might not be true anyway.

I peeked at the entrance of the cafeteria and I see Alex walk in. I stood up and waved him over "hey Alex, come sit with us"

He grinned as he walked over. He waved at everyone.

"This is Milhouse, Lisa and Bart" I said pointed to everyone I said their name.

They all mumbled out their 'heys' besides Bart he just played with his food.

Everyone was laughing and talking during lunch once again beside Bart who had annoyance plastered across his face.

-after the last class-

I walked to my locker after the last bell. Grabbing what I need and putting stuff up I don't need. I feel a tap on my shoulder and come face to face with Alex.

I put a small grin on my face "oh hey Alex, wassup"

He gently smiled at me "hey, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out after school"

I feel Bart, Lisa and Mulhouse eyes staring at the back of my neck before I reply to Alex "Oh um, sure. Want my number so I can tell you my address"

With his smile still plastered on my face he handed me his phone. I typed in my number and handed him his phone back.

I waved to him as I turned back to my little group of friends.

Lisa was the first to speak up 'He definitely likes you'

'Huh! No he doesn't I just met him" I replied with a shocked expression.

Lisa slightly smile while nodding her head "mhm sure"

I shock my head at her and proceeded to grade all my stuff from my locker and walked away. I saw our bus and waited for Lisa, Bart and Milhouse.

I spotted them minutes later coming out the school, I waved them over and then hopped on the bus and sat in my usually seat.

Mulhouse and Lisa sat behind me while Bart sat next to me. I turned to him slightly smiling "Hi Bart"

Bart looked slightly to me "sup y/n"

We all three talked casually about our day and Alex of course and stuff like that. As the bus came to a stop. I hugged Milhouse in a brotherly hug while getting off with Bart and Lisa.

I turned to them "okay I'm going to text you guys later" I said waving to them, they both nodded their heads and we all went our separate ways into our homes.

I'm so sorry I haven't been posting! I started school again and have been busy lol I will try to post more :) I hope you enjoy this chapter !!!
