"No stop- Oreo!"

Herin ran behind her cat as he jumped on her vanity, Tremendously landing his paws onto it's surface while maintaining balance on the edge.

Standing there, the cream white creature purely meowed at her with his huge circle eyes.

Herin let out a chuckle, "You fluffy little beast." She walked to him, gently picking him up and running her palm down his fur. Her stressless smile shined out as it was radiated by the setting sun rays coming in her room.
The sun ducking down beneath the landscape.

Before she could place him down on her bed, Her door surged open as Taewon stormed in.

"Dad's here."

Herin's breath got caught up, her throat fondling with dryness as Taewon left to the living right after exclaiming.
She layed Oreo on her bed and strolled outside. Taking in deep breaths with each step.

As she arrived down her sight was invaded by the large, dark and rusty coat, dangling off her father's broad shoulders. His grey hair pushed back as his eyes were hidden behind the glossy black sunglasses.

A familiar musky scent of cinnamon filled her up, reminding her of the bitter cinnamon coffee. Her dad's favourite.

Taewon cleared his throat,
"Let's sit down, shall we?"

"Before that, I have to introduce you two to someone." Her father, Kang Daeksu interrupted while raising his hand. Turning around and grabbing onto an arm while pulling them closer, he called out.

"Kids..I want you to meet my wife."

A tall, slim figure who wore a lepord printed, skin tight dress clutched onto him while throwing a smug smile at the two siblings who were struck hard.

Taewon's eyes widened as he eyed the women who looked around her mid 30's. Confusion and betrayal flushing over Herin, her jaw dropped watching the mature women slide her arm onto her dad's shoulder.

Her dirty blond cut short while her face was stuffed with heavy makeup, resulting in a cakey look.

"What do you mean wife?"
Taewon gritted out his words, rage alarming in.

"Wife as in my wife and your step mom, Son." Daeksu lifted his chin, showing dominance as he sharpened his eye, Wacthing his kids fallen faces.

Herin grasped for air, feeling the utter rush of anxiety barge in.
"B-But...dad-"
"Yes dear?"

She pushed her eyes up, meeting her dad's empty ones that held nothing but greed. Her glowing bronze orbs trembled staring into his, dissapointed accompanied by the hefty treachery flowed in.

Sucking back her tears and urge to sob on the spot,
"You p-promised us...You'd never replace mom, Ever."

His eyes observed her, taking sight of his daughters shaking figure along with the redness of threatening tears implaced on her cheeks.
Daeksu broke out in laughter.

"Oh Herin...This is why you're the weak one."

She gulped, blinking back the hot briny tears that could fall any second.
Taewon stood there with arms crossed, gaze still on the ground. Holding back his anger.

"W-what? Dad, I- You- You lied."
Her voice cracked on the edge of her words. Eyes falling on the marble floor, glancing at her older brother for anything. Desperation reeking off her.

Yet, he ignored her look.

She turned to her dad, the huge eyes of her's innocently looked over to the women who had been labelled her step mom. Watching her smirk at her glum figure that quivered at everything unfolding and refusing to believe.

Her eyes shot back at her father.
"H-How could you..You-"
"For fucks sake!"

She flinched at the raise of voice from her father.

"Everyone, lies at some point!"
His voice gone low and deep, frightening his own child.
"What's the harm in that?"

Herin's breathing fell unstable as she dipped her head down, shoving her water-filled eyes on the ground and avoiding his glare.

Daeksu inched closer to Herin,
"Life isn't always butterflies and sunshine, When will you learn to fucking accept reality my dear?"

Taewon looked up, scowling at his father who bored down his harsh words on Herin. He took a deep breath,

"Come on now dad...I'll show you your room."
"I'm not here to stay."

Taewon snapped his head up,
"You think I'll ever stay here with you kids? I just came here to tell you that you have a Step mom from now on."

His jaw clenched, fist balling at the word step mom. He perked his dark eyes off his father.

"Now that you two have met her, we're off."
He turned around and linked his arms with his wife.

"Oh, and one more thing Dear."
His eyes shifted to the side, back still facing the two divulged figures.

"Stop trying to find good in everyone, You'll never succeed."
His lips curved up to smirk.
"Good bye."

And they left.

Leaving Herin to stand there with her widened her eyes gawking at the thin air. The atmosphere dull and full of shaking breaths as the two maintained still on their feet, failing to process.

It felt as if her lungs had been held captive, not being able to take in a deep breath. Taewon glanced at her, his own eyes being present with wrath.

As tears ran down her cheeks, She gave him a reasurring smile.

Gradually taking steps behind, Herin sprinted upstairs.

Shutting her door, She sat on her bed.
Hands gripping her bed sides.

Her physical heart felt so exposed, so shallowly planted. It felt like it was in her mouth. She couldn't tell if she was spitting it out or swallowing it. She couldn't tell if she was going to chomp it to bits just by being in a place she never wished for or deserved.

Her physical heart seemed to be Blasting light out of her mouth but also dawn into her body. She feared that when she would be in times like this, the kindness inside her would bend out and break into pieces.

Herin sniffed, wiping her tears and holding the will to bawl her eyes out. She gulped hard while standing up. Staring out to the bright moonlight, sweeping out and gleaming ever so slightly.

Her dad's ruthless words still mumbling around her head, she bit her bottom lip. The harsh pull sending pain.

A woeful sigh left her mouth.

The unstoppable tears kept escaping and trailing down the soft cheeks of hers. In no sign were they coming to a halt, and nor was her pondering on joy.

"Stop trying to find good in everyone, You'll never succeed."

A slight 'tsk' echoed through her room, clicking her tounge in disagreement.
Even though, her tears weren't drying up anytime soon.
