I am watching Finding Nemo when I hear a scream but its nothing like the normal scream from Estelle the baby girl in the apartment above me It sounded like a scream of pain and torture. I grab my gun yes I know a 11 year old with a gun Its because my dad was in the navy and taught encase I was kidnapped or mugged.
Once I have got my gun and knife I run up the stairs 2 at a time and kick the door open to find a monstrous sight. Inside The carpet is stained with blood that looked minutes fresh and there are 3 dead bodies 1 being Estelle and the other 2 my neighbours Paul and I think it was sally yes it was sally but what I find weird was that they have claw marks across their chests and Paul has what would have been the canines of an animal piercing the side of his neck.
I am horrified so I rush back to my apartment just as my sister comes up the stairs her eyes puffy and red from crying so I ask "hey what's wrong Katie?"
And she responds with "you wouldn't understand you're too young to understand love"
"Try me I'm pretty good with this stuff" To be honest I'm really not that good but I could try and help my sister and bond with her as we've never really had a strong siblings connection.
Then I remember I am on my way to call Mom and Dad to tell them about the um situation upstairs so as I called my Dads phone number I realise that I have no Idea how to explain this so I decide to go with my gut as dad always told me to do.
So as soon as I had rung them I go to my sisters room when I hear feet banging around upstairs and then a scream of pure pain and then soft sobs and "I'm sorry" repeated
So we both decide to go check it out to find a tall boy black hair that looks absolutely untameable and not to mention his muscles this man looks like an Olympian swimmer but 10 times better I could see my sister blushing red as a tomato and was going to walk up to him when he stated "you do know its rude to intrude right" he said dripping sarcasm into his tone but still in a deep voice that made me want to hide behind the sofa but he still chuckled like it was a very funny joke. He then turns around to reveal one of the most beautifully, carved face I've ever seen.

My sister literally faints at his beauty and his mesmerizing eyes that made me want to stare at them all day. He just looks at her weird and asks "is she okay" and is by the sounds of it genuinely confused.
He must be as oblivious as a penguin. As we introduced ourselves and got to know each other my sister woke up looking absolutely flushed but Percy as he likes to be called couldn't tell probably thinking it was from the temperature of the room.
Then about fifteen minutes after Katie woke up Mom and Dad arrived in Moms Mercedes G63. As they opened the doors I could tell they were uneasy because of the way Dad was stiff and tense like they were being watched which of course wasn't that unlikely. But I am very confused because he and Percy shake hands like old friends meeting at a restaurant by accident.
Then he shows them his apartment and they just comfort him and tell him they are going to take him with us as we were moving to Isla Nublar as Moms work office is there and we have a cabin up there but then Percy tells me one thing I could never expect "OOOHHH Isla nublar nice place my dads got a mansion out there" he says it like its the most normal thing to have a mansion on a dinosaur infested Island "I thought your dad died when you were very little" And then he grew an amused smile then retorted with "My friend my dad is a lot of things but dead is one of the things he will never be my dads a frickin immortal he's a dam god" as he said those last words he broke into tears for some reason I didn't know but I expected he had an inside joke with someone that betrayed him.
After he said that his dad was a god I asked "which God is your dad" and he responded with "My friend my fathers Poseidon one of multiple Greek gods well he used to be my dad before he disowned me plural Owen you should probably explain their heritage to them."
I ask "dad what does Percy mean by our heritage ?"
"What he means is that you both are tri-bloods or the children of half-bloods so me and your mother are demi-gods making you both grandchildren of Tyche and Athena.
"Ok doesn't seem that surprising Moms smart and Dads lucky no the weirdest thing to ever happen.
"Ok so now that's sorted lets get on the plan..." Mom didn't get to finish as Percy interjected the sentence "OOOOOHHHH no no no I will not fly in a plane I will not give Zeus the satisfaction of smiting me We will take my Pauls boat"
"But that'll take weeks you do know its a few hundred miles of the coast of Costa Rico right? Anyway why cant you go on a plane" I say genuinely confused by what he said
"Oh forgot I didn't tell you I'm the former son of Poseidon and the sky is Zeus' domain so he could strike me down with a thunder bolt"
So as we boarded the boat with Percy he told us about his powers and as he delves deeper into the extent of his strength I grew more scared of him but also started to respect him more. He told me about what he'd done in his life and to say I was shocked was a hell of an understatement.
So as we board the boat I see something make ripples in the water and a big black dog racing down the jetty It keeps running towards us until....
