I walk to the pit with Aurora and Akron. They both share similarities such as dark brown hair and the many tattoos. They laugh loudly with every step.

Mom and Dad are proud of them because they are the typical Dauntless. Brave and bold. I want to be like them. We pass the tattoo parlour and I see Four who is drinking out of a black glass bottle.

I wonder why they call him 'Four' so mysterious and so unique. A bit like Ryan. Akron waves at him as we pass him. He waves back but doesn't move his face an inch. I have gathered that he isn't very a  sociable person. But I kinda like the fact he keeps his-self to his-self. Makes him more interesting.
"He is a strange person isn't he? But with a name like Four I would expect a strange personality." Aurora says quietly.

"So just because he isn't like you all over the place he is weird?" Akron asks.
"No. But he doesn't go out or anything. His girlfriend does. But he doesn't. He should because he came first in initiation when he transferred, he should take some pride in that. Even I didn't come first." Aurora says with a hint of jealousy in her voice.

"Well that is how he chooses to live his life and surprisingly it has nothing to do with you." Akron says as he pinches his silver eyebrow piercing. Aurora sticks her tongue out at Akron and he does the same, I smile at the fact they they are like children despite being my older siblings. We walk over the chasm, which serves to us a reminder that there is a very thin line between stupidity and bravery. Last year a transfer to Dauntless fell straight to his death into the grey and cold waters beneath us that roars constantly. Like the beating heart of the Dauntless compound.

We eventually arrive in the pit and like usual it is a bustling crowd of black clothed people, with strange coloured hair and glistening piercings all over their faces. Though a hair with several coloured streaks stands out from the crowd, like it always does at school. The girl's strawberry red lips break into a rare smile which expose her white teeth. I quickly rush off to approach her.

"Nice to see that you survived the aptitude test." She says sarcastically. But after knowing her for so long I have kinda gotten use to it.

"Well Keira you probably scared off whatever was in yours." I say to her. She rolls her dark eyes.

"What did you get?" She asks, though now I am close to her I spot the red lipstick stain on her front teeth.

I raise my eyebrow, "What did you get?" I ask. She smiles but I see him, with the olive-bronze skin, the spiked dark brown hair, the high cheekbones and the slightly plump lips of his. My skin ignites into flames and I lose all sense of control my nerves once had. Ryan.
