One.
I hate Her.
I am supposed to be the brave girl.
Fuck.
What am I even doing?
I am supposed to scream it out from the rooftops.
"I LOVE HER!" I could shout.
And they would not know who She is,
Of course they wouldn't.
But I do.
And that is enough to make me shiver.
I'm afraid.
I love Her.
Go tell those birds atop of the pine trees.
They're looking at you the way I look at her back in the hallyways.
(Buried by the rain in the forest near the Lerman house).
Two.
"Molly?"
"Yeah?"
"I was thinking... maybe..."
"Maybe..."
"We could..."
"Exchange numbers so we can share conspirative theories at two a.m. and eventually fall in love?"
"..."
"You're blushing".
"Don't make fun of me. Hey, stop poking my cheeks! I WAS NERVOUS OKAY?!"
(Stuck on a bench in the park, under an orange tree).
Three.
Her: Hey, Molly. I wanted you to know that I like you(r face).
Molly: I like you(r face) too.
H: Really?
M: Really.
(Folded inside Molly's diary).
Four.
"I don't want to play this song without you ever again. That was amazing".
"You are amazing".
"Stop looking at me like that".
"Like what?"
"..."
"You sure you want me to stop?"
"Goddamnit, Molly".
"..."
"..."
(Scribbled in a music sheet, slipped into Her locker).
Five.
I'm taking Spanish this year.
Her name is similar to felicidad.
It means happiness,
And I have never believed in coincidences.
(Thrown from the edge of the high school's roof).
Six.
I have this thing.
I like to call it hypersensitive skin.
Whenever I scratch myself or get hit, I get a mark.
It goes away in a while.
Sometimes I wish her kisses left marks too,
But then I realize it would kill me
To see them end twice.
(Written on a piece of flowery paper, crumpled up at the bottom of one of Molly's drawers).
Seven.
"Mum, how will I know if it's love?"
"They will make your blood shine. You'll see".
I do.
(Hidden behind the F section in the public library).
Eight.
She makes me look radioactive.
(Painted in Molly's arm).
(Trapped under a seat in the auditorium).
(Hung in Her wall).
(Pressed in between the pages of various textbooks).
(Stuck with Evie's heart-shaped magnets on the Lerman sisters's fridge).Nine.
She has started looking for the kites,
And that's okay.
They don't say anything she hasn't heard already.
Not anymore.
(Found at the bottom of Molly's laundry basket).
Ten.
I love you.
Playing solo was great, but only before I met you.
That's as much of an explanation as I can give you.
You know the middle.
We make the end.
This was the beginning.
(These are only the kites I have found. There were more. We can figure them out after you kiss me). (Hey, stop looking at me like that!)
(Taped on top of the box Molly gave Felicity on their aniversary).

Paper kites.
Teen FictionMolly wrote about Her on paper kites. And then, ever the brave girl, she scattered them around town so they wouldn't be found. This is a "The Boyfriend Plan" one shot. It may spoil some things for you if you haven't read it.
