My name is Hana. It had all started when I just entered my freshmen year of high school. It was orientation day and I was looking around school. I had stumbled upon the cooking class, maybe it was because of the pleasant smells coming from the room. It had smelt of vanilla and cinnamon. When I had peeked in, I had seen this amazing pile of freshly baked goods. As I was reaching for one, suddenly someone had grabbed my hand and tossed it away from the platter of goodies. I looked up in total frustration and that is when I first met him. He was so handsome, that I just ran out of the room. I was blushing so hard. That was so embarrassing, I hope he didn't see that.
The next few days, I attended to my new high school and everything was going ok. After school, I went to the cooking class to see him again but he wasn't there. As I was in the class, the teacher had asked me if I was there to sign up for the class. I wasn't thinking of signing up but I ended up joining. So every Wednesday, I would go there and learn how to cook and take home some goodies after class, is what the teacher told me. After not seeing him, I joined the class and then started to turn around and leave. When I opened the door, I saw him and I was shocked but I continued to walk out. That was when he stopped me and grabbed my hand again. He said, "You're that girl from a couple days ago, right?" He remembered me? I was kind of embarrassed but I said yeah. He said his name was Haru.
We talked for a bit outside the classroom and he said, "Sorry for tossing your hand away the other day" I said, "It's okay, you must have had your reasons and I didn't even ask before trying to take any." He said that he was a sophomore and he was also in the cooking class. After that day, I tried joining other things that he was in since we couldn't have the same classes. That's how it went for the whole year. At some point, I realized that I really liked him but I knew that he didn't see me that way. I was in an unrequited love with someone and half the time, I didn't even know.
