Nightmare fidgets in his seat, uncomfortable being here in this council room. There's too many old enemies all around. Dream is sitting on one side with Cross on the other. That makes it slightly more bearable. Various originals from different AUs have all gathered to hear the negotiations for a peace treaty. The keepers of the different balances are doing most of the talking, though. It's been a few weeks since the whole escapade into the Omniverse. Nightmare is still angered by what Balance did. All three Monsters were not willing to leave him behind. Nightmare was ready to march back into the cathedral and demand that the other Deities do something about it. Balance could only listen to them rant. In the end, Balance used his large head to gently shove them back and into the Multiverse. They ended up coming out in Balancetale, and Scales was crushed by the news. They didn't even get a chance to say goodbye.....
"Nightmare? Nightmare! Are you listening?" Dream shouts. He waves a hand in front of his brother's face to get his attention.
"Wh-What? Yeah?......" Nightmare snaps awake.
"You weren't paying attention at all, were you? This is important! We can't afford to let any of the AUs suffer anymore," Dream huffs.
"I know, it's just...... Alloy would've loved to see this....."
"......... I'm sure he knows, brother." This treaty will make their Multiverse awfully similar to the one Alloy had built before Fate. Throughout it all, Nightmare has sworn he's felt a familiar presence prompt someone to say the right thing or give a nudge towards a better solution.
While working together and actually communicating, it won't be hard to balance out negative and positivity. Death and Life are also reaching a more natural order since not so many Monsters are dying. The balance between creation and destruction is more worrying. Though new ones aren't being created, all AUs grow in time. There's still so many that they're still at risk of collision. Error 404's rampage has bought them some time. He's actually willing to step up as a destroyer if the need arises. 404 is incredibly nervous to be sitting in the council room with the others, but he owes it to Alloy.
As usual, one simple meeting can't possibly go off without a hitch. A portal opens up right above the table and high up near the ceiling. A Monster yells out in shock as they fall right through and hit the table on their backs. It splits clean in two, knocking the wind out of them. All the council members lurch out of their seats and away from the flying debris.
"Oww..... It's kinda disorienting to go from four legs to two," they weeze, "I guess I lost my balance!"
"Alloy!" Nightmare uses his tentacles to yank him out of the splintered remains. The God stumbles and sways a bit when he's put on his feet, feeling dizzy.
"You're here! You're back!" Dream smiles widely.
"I'm in one piece? Awesome! I was hoping Destiny's changes would hold, but I wasn't really sure. Could've had a big problem if I got stuck halfway," Alloy muses. It's then that he looks around, noticing how many Monsters are here. "....... Did I interrupt something?"
"Nah, your timing was perfect!" Reaper snorts from across from across the room.
"You're an absolute lunatic," Nightmare laughs, "How are you here? I'm happy that you are, but you made us go without you when Balance couldn't come."
"Actually, the Deity of Balance is still in the Omniverse, or at least the body and more extreme magic. Destiny helped me with that." Alloy pulls out a pendent that had been hiding under his shirt. It's carved into the shape of a curled dragon. "I can go back and forth now when I'm sleeping. It's so cool! No ones gonna sneak up on my Mutivers now!" There's currently a massive dragon resting in the Omniverse, body against the side of the Multiverses's codes. Balance will wake up, and Alloy will go out cold, if anyone approaches.
"Really? That's so cool! Will you be going back and forth much?" Dream asks.
"More importantly, what was Fate's punishment? Did they kill ker?" Nightmare buts in.
"What? No! They wouldn't kill her, but they did take away all her home Multiverses. Ancient actually granted her oldest to me. It's pretty damaged in there. I won't reset it like Fate did to mine, but I do need to start visiting to get everyone on a more peaceful path. This Multiverse is a lot older, and it'll take time to change. On the bright side, there are some babybones running around since it so old," Alloy cackles at that last part. Little Blueprint was so cute!
"Babybones?" Nightmare asks, his voice filling with dread.
"Yep! Maybe I'll even let you guys meet once things are calmed down. I'm sure Shattered will flip when he sees all this!" Alloy can't stop thinking of all the possibilities now. He's determined to help and protect the Monsters in his new AU. After all, what is the purpose of a Deity if not to love?
