You felt the wind while swinging on swing-set, observing all the children playing on the playground all while keeping a close eye of the location of your parent.
You saw how happy every other kid was screaming their heads off, having fun, you envied them for having someone to play with.
Your parents moved to Seattle for work and while being young you had a very close friendship with a little boy back in Florida.
You really missed him since he was the only kid in your neighborhood who would actually play with you.
You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn't notice a little boy with blonde hair and pretty hazel eyes approach the swing next to you.
Many other children have tried getting on asking if the swing was occupied and every time you answered that it was and you were just waiting for your friend.
That was a lie.
"Is this swing occupied?" The little boy asked you. You didn't know what to say, every time you would immediately shut every kid down. Maybe it was because he was more polite than the other kids or maybe there was just no reason and you were late to responding no with a glare.
"Uhm y-." Before you could respond the boy sat down anyways and started swinging. You slowed the swing down to observe the little boy. You didn't know why but his presence didn't seem to bother you as much as you thought it would.
You observed how the young boy swung back and forth and how he seemed to be having fun.
At this point you weren't swinging, you were just sitting on the swing, observing the boy closely
Eventually you realized that the sound of the swing started to bother you. Maybe it was because you never allowed other kids to swing alongside of you that the sound of the swing next to you was becoming more insufferable as time went by.
You decided that thanks to that little boy you were bored of the swing and got off. You looked around the playground looking for your next destination.
An area where there was a very limited number of kids. You noticed that all the kids were playing tag in the play sets and the only piece of equipment that wasn't crowded by kids was the sandbox.
You saw some sand toys that were lying around abandoned by their owners and you started constructing your castle.
You were zoned out imagining how it would be like if you really did live in a castle and how happy you would be.
Your imagination was cut to an end when you heard a voice talking to you.
"Hi, what are you building?"
It was the same little boy from the swing set.
"A castle." You simply said with no emotion. He was now bothering you.
"Can I help?" The little boy asked with a witty smile on his face.
"No."
You didn't want to seem rude to this boy but you didn't know him and your parents warned you about stranger danger. Plus he was getting more annoying.
"Why not?" The little boy asked confused. All he wanted was to make a new friend.
"Because I don't know you, and my parents said that I can't speak to people I don't know ." I stated thinking he would leave.
