It is in one of the Arab countries, early in the morning , water is splashed ,a bang on the door is heard,a man is seen standing with a heavy metal on his hand, awakes everyone ,calling them abusive name in Arabic.
A young man ,looking restless is seen ,he is new,came the other day,
They are to gather and make a line , an old man is the one serving them food,the young man is pushed by another prisoner and is told "you think this is your mother's mansion ,move princess."
The young man is know as Taruk , a handsome young man, black hair ,brown eyes, chocolate was his skin tone, indeed shaped like a model .
Taruk was among the youngest in the prison ,His age was not more than twenty if not less.
Taruk came from somalia, after a civil war ,his parents were killed and some of his relatives and neighbours. Taruk was one of the kids who showed interest in medicine and wanted to be among the best doctors in the world but somalia was not a promising country for his dream ,every time war broke up, and many people killed .
Taruk left somalia after his parents death, for his future wanted a better place,while in somalia he went through alot,hunger and war was not enough but for him he remained strong .
Taruk and his friend decided to go to another country for them somalia had nothing to offer them.They both agreed to go to Europe but it was not an easy task ,they thought they were strong and that was not the case.They had nothing, no means of transport ,leave alone food .The only thing they had was a map not very clear .
Taruk and his friend marwan were indeed brave.They started there journey , one morning , caring only a map and clothes and a pair of sliper each . They walked for hours and hours almost 7 hours without rest .they were both tired and decided to rest under a tree ,they slept for an hour and woke up the next.Hunger showed them no mercy, from far they saw a moving vehicle on high speed .it was some somali men called muqalas, who were famous for there work of helping people to cross borders .Taruk and his friend both seemed tired but they were happy to see there "brothers "from there country.
The car stopped, men with guns step down and asked them where they were going,Taruk without hesitation said we are on a journey but only God knows where to,Marwan was very hungry and asked for water .The men asked if they got anything with the them but offcorse the answer was clear as I told you before.
Nothing, indeed one of them was speaking somali but the rest they spoke Arabic. Taruk was a bit worried since he thought at first the muqalas are all somalis.He was shocked but marwan was in pain ,since he walked for long and was hungry.
One of the muqalas said in Arabic take this two donkeys at the back .Taruk was afraid but they were forced into the vehicle. That's how Taruk was brought to jail but for Marwan he could not survive hunger as they travelled through the desert .
After the meal was served, Taruk was instructed to wash all the plates ,after which he was beaten up merciless .later drag down back to his cell.he was woken after few minutes and taken to wash the latrines ,it was not easy for Taruk .
Forced to drink urine ,nobody could endure that ,Taruk was still new and other prisoners were being tortured to death .Taruk was given chance once to make a phone call to his people to pay for his freedom but he had nobody to contact and that's why he remained in prison for 2 year .Taruk was tortured but still he prayed to God to give him another chance and make him strong.
It was one fine morning a vedio was recorded by the muqalas and it was about how they wanted ransom for more than 50 people who only had 24 hours to live.
The vedio was all over the news and tension was created all over the world .Everybody was shocked ,but lucky enough the place they were held captive was recognised by one of the famous reports, who was a female .
She informed the police and they moved in silence and quick way.
The mission was 50, 50.the police officers were well trained and they went and successfully took over the Place within few hours. The famous report was with them and took vedio and pictures of the scene. She then meet Taruk and tried to ask him questions .Taruk was indeed happy but had no strength to show that he was excited.
Taruk broke in tears, he then sang a song in somali that said.
It is only two years and yet i can't tell the day ,am lucky to see the sun yet I can't see clear,only God knows how I feel,is unfortunate that my friend is no more,Should I tell the world that my life ended when I was inside,only woke up after a water splash, had no one to buy me freedom, I can not move a finger yet am alive,will you believe me if I told you i lost everything including myself, I prayed everyday only to see this day,am great full that am still alive.
Tear washed his face ,he then kissed the floor while he performed sujud.
Years later Taruk was taken by Canada as refugee ,he was given basic needs and opportunity to study .As we speak ladies and gentlemen, Taruk is now a graduate and one of best doctors in the world still never forgot his past and went back to his homeland and a opened up big hospital and give sponsorship to orphans in somalia.
