The first-years were finally starting their classes with a simple potions class. For this class no books were needed, only a notebook so that they could write down what they were learning. << I'm Professor Dylan Ozera, and I'll be helping you with your special abilities, although, you will also learn the basics of potions, which might be useful in the future, since potions are my specialty.>> This class was kind of boring considering that it was the first one, so, all that the students learned were the basic materials, the most common ingredients for the most common potions.

Because the introduction ceremony happened that same day, it was already time for lunch. The four girls went to the canteen and, after receiving their food, which seemed and smelled delicious, they went looking for a table and only found one, already occupied, but only by that same guy they noticed in the library, Alan. When he noticed the girls, he said << Oh! Please don't be shy, you can join me in this table. It's not like anyone else is coming.>>. The girls smiled and took the invitation. Both Bella and iris thought the same thing, this was the perfect time to try and make Julia and Alan closer, while Lydia was just focused in eating. During lunch, Iris looked awfully quiet and wasn't eating at all, yet, even though everyone seemed to noticed that, they just decided not to mention anything, not yet at least. They thought that she needed some time on her own mind to think about the weird things that have been happening to her. The four friends, except for Iris, who was still in silence, lost themselves in the conversation that, it was almost time for the afternoon classes that occupied the rest of the day, practicing their specific ability. Suddenly, a flying envelope landed right in front of Iris, confused, she opened it, and inside was a letter, saying: "Miss Zenix, please meet me in my office first thing tomorrow, before your classes. Sincerely, Principal Alatar Hanson." << What the hell does the principal want with you?>> questioned Alan as confused as Iris and everyone else. << Maybe its because of your books, Iris!>> said Bella with a hopeful voice. << Yeah, maybe there really was a mistake!>> Julia joined, also hopeful. << Wait, what happened with your books?>> Alan asked. << She didn't get them.>> Lydia joined to the conversation. << That's weird, the school's magic is never wrong. At least it has never been to this day. Maybe it's because you're a Dark Etheri.>>.

The five students finally left the canteen and went straight to the practice court, where the afternoon classes would start. They were almost late, one more minute and professor Crowfeather wouldn't let them stay in her class. << Well.... Now that we are all here let's start>> the professor began, looking unhappy to the five friends that were late. << Today, we will focus mainly in trying to activate your specific ability. Lydia and Crystal, you two will practice your aiming, since you already know how to use your magic. << Pathetic! >> said Crystal, << I can't believe I'm in the same class as these weaklings!>> << Hey! Shut your mouth, icy queen >> Lydia responded. << Icy queen? Why Lydia?>> Iris asked to which Lydia responded << Because she thinks she's the boss of everyone and knowing that she is an Ice Etheri because it's in her shawl, duh...I can't see a better insult! >> those words were so similar to what Iris had said to her that morning, that made her smile, for the first time this afternoon, but faded quickly.

<< So... does anyone here knows what's the best way for starting to activate their ability?>> no one spoke so the professor continued. << Very well then, I'll explain. Considering your ability, you will try to imagine the biggest source of that magic, for example, if you are a Water Etheri then try to focus on the amount of power that the ocean could give you. If you're a Sun Etheri.... Well that's easy... and so on.>>. Breaking the students silence, Julia asked << What if you are a Psychic Etheri? What is my biggest source of power?>>. Everyone started murmuring, that was a really good question, and Iris was starting to panic, because, she was a Dark Etheri, what was her biggest source of power? What was she going to imagine? CrowFeather looked, proudly, at Julia, answering << Hm.... Well, if I had all the answers you wouldn't have to study or practice. And, even if I did know how, it has to come from you, those were just mere examples.>>

This first practical class lasted forever and when it ended, the sky was already getting dark. Some students weren't able to activate their ability even though that was perfectly normal for first-years. One of those students being Iris. However, a big amount was able to trigger their special ability, which, some of them were Julia, Bella and Alan. A few minutes before the class's ending, the professor had asked the students to gather in front of her. << So... what have you learnt today? What is your source of power? And how did you discover that? Julia, do you want to answer first?>> << Of course..... hm.... I wasn't getting how this power might work, but one thing that I knew for sure, is that, as a Psychic Etheri, I will need to focus more in the Mind. Whether it is my mind or other's mind, and by knowing and accepting the consequences that I might suffer, I started to ear voices, they were your thoughts, professor. Then I tried with Alan, and I was able to know what he was thinking in that moment.>> << Very good Julia, you are strong and resourceful, I will continue to expect great things from you!>> The professor said with a proud face which Julia smile. << Before we go, I want to listen to you Bella. I know you are a water Etheri but I sensed you weren't focusing in the ocean as your source of power, care to explain?>> << The ocean always scared me so..>> << How's that possible?>> Crystal intervened << You are a Water Etheri "ugh" what a coward!>>. <<...are you finished?>> Bella retaliated. <<... continuing, I've always admired the moon and since it is connected to the ocean, I thought that might be a good example of a power source and, out of nothing a ball of water appeared in front of me.>> << Amazing! You were able to create a source connected to your element that didn't fear you, but instead gave you the feeling of comfort. I sense you will behave wonderfully under pressure.>> stated the professor.

After being dismissed, the students went to take a shower in their room's before rushing to the canteen to have dinner. Exhausted yet excited, the first-years went to bed and so the first day at The Etheri School had finally come to an end.
