Chapter Five

Jon and Renee were in Orlando for the next live RAW show. They were back on the road and have been for the past 4 days. Jon had been in contact with a lawyer who had been giving him advice about gaining custody of Elisa. Jon had decided that he wants to get sole custody of Elisa, after seeing the way Melissa is he feared that Elisa had been poorly treated in her 2 and a half years of had told Melissa that he was going to take her to court for sole custody and Melissa was begging him not to do that.

Jon had just finished his match and walked back through the curtain. He smiled when he saw Renee standing there waiting with the cameraman to interview him for 'Backstage fallout.' After the short interview Jon headed back to his locker room while Renee still had a few more interviews to get through.

"So Jon, how is the custody going?" Joe asked as he laced up his boots ready for his main event match tonight.

"Yeah, it's getting there, my lawyer says I have a good chance. Elisa told me a little bit about the various different guys that Melissa brings back home and Melissa is begging me not to get the courts involved." Jon said.

"Do you think she's hiding something?" Joe asked and Jon shrugged.

"She could be in trouble with the cops or something. I just know that my daughter doesn't deserve to be there" Jon said as Renee walked in.

"I'm all done" She said with a smile. "Where's Colby?" She asked.

"He's having trouble with Leighla. Boss let him go home after his match" Joe said as Renee nodded.

"One thing that concerns me, is that when I do get custody of Elisa... how will I look after her? I worry. I'm on the road all the time. She needs to go to school in a few years, I can't move her all the time." Jon started to get a little bit panicky over these thoughts. He hadn't thought all of this through.

Renee pulled him in for a warm hug. "Don't worry. We'll have to see what happens first." She whispered to him. He smiled. He knew she would always be there for him through the good, the bad, and the ugly.

"Dude, it'll be fine. Maybe Renee could stay home and look after her while you're on the road like Galina does." Joe said. Renee thought it sounded like a good idea but she didn't want to just give up her job, either.

"What do you want to do tonight?" She asked Jon.

"Grab a bite out?" He gave her a small smile. She nodded. She slipped her hand in his. He planted a small kiss on her hand.

"I love you." She said.

"I love you." He said.

"I'm gonna throw up." Joe joked, which made Jon and Renee burst out laughing.

"Awww little Joey is jealous" Jon said laughing.

"Don't call me that" Joe said faking a glare at them both. They just laughed in response. "Match time, see you guys tomorrow" Joe said as he walked out the room.

"Let me just get changed then we can head out, darling" Jon said as he grabbed his clothes and got changed. He grabbed his bags and walked out with Renee. They got into their rental car and headed to find a nice place to eat. Once they both settled with a place they sat down at a table and looked through the menu.

"About what Joe said about being staying at home with Elisa, I'm not sure about that, babe" Renee said. Giving up WWE wasn't the only reason why she didn't want to, she was scared about acting as a mother for Elisa and she was worried about whether Elisa even likes her.

"Sweetheart, don't worry about that now. There's what, 2 more years until she starts school? Plenty of time to figure something out but let's worry about that when I get sole custody" He said as he held both her hands. The waitress walked over and took their order and Renee smiled at Jon. "And maybe, by that time, we may even have our own little one" Jon said. Renee felt surprised, he'd never mentioned kids before.
