Charli ran up to Luca and hugged him.

☁️: Charli!? You scared me!

He hugged her back, digging his face on her shoulder to hide his blush.

🍊: Sorry, it just feels like I haven't seen you in forever.

☁️: it's only been a week

Luca backed away from the hug but Charli clung on.

🍊: That's way too long!

☁️: Charli I didn't go to Japan, you can stop hugging me now.

Luca nervously smiled at Charli as she backed away.

🍊: Eek! Sorry, I do that sometimes. Eheh-

☁️: it's ok Charli, I don't mind.

He grinned as Charli started jumping with excitement.

🍊: Come on! Let's go somewhere.

She grabbed his hand and dragged him along. Luca felt his face heat up as her little, soft hand touched his.

☁️: W- where are we going? I just got back from my trip I don't need another one!

Luca jokingly said as Charli tugged him along.

🍊: Wherever the world takes us!

She smiled as she ran along, Luca following behind her.

☁️: You're so full of energy! Where do you get it from?

🍊: From being a squirrel!

They laughed as Charli skipped along while Luca was trying desperately to catch up.

☁️: Wait up!

Suddenly, Charli tripped over and scraped her knee.

🍊: Ouch!

Catching up to Charli, he pulled out a miniature medkit.

☁️: You're lucky I carry these things around with me, I know how clumsy you are.

He softly smiled as she giggled, wiping her tears.

🍊: Thank you for always helping me Luca.

She smiled as his jaw subtly dropped and his face grew pink

☁️: I- uhm- no problem.

He shyly smiled as Charli jumped forward and hugged him.

☁️: Woah! Don't just jump like that!

🍊: How else am I meant to thank you?

☁️: With words Charli.

🍊: Hugs are always better!

☁️: You're right.

And with a smile he hugged her back.
