"Oh... Oh my god! Regina.. I, I don't know what to say, I.." Emma squeaked, clumsily stuttering over her words. Her fingertips trembled against her lips in a poor attempt to cover her mouth in surprise.
Regina raised her brow in astonishment. Still down on one knee she replied, "Well, for heaven's sake Emma... say yes!" Feeling her heart pound against her chest, Regina felt a nervous smile tuck away at the corners of her mouth. She felt herself tremble, and her hands began to sweat.
"Yes, Regina, YES!" The blonde jittered. Looking down into her girlfriend's eyes, she assured her "My answer will always be yes!" Tears spilled from Emma's crystal blue eyes as Regina slipped the ring onto her slender finger. The sparkle of the rock glittered against the light in the room, bouncing off the walls. Regina stood, pulling Emma close to her. Unable to contain her emotion, Emma fiercely wrapped her arms around the woman, squeezing her into a hug.

As Regina's nerves began to calm, she smiled, rubbing the back of Emma's warm body. "You've made me the happiest woman alive, you know that Swan?" She softly mouthed into her ear. "I love you."
"I love you too." Emma smiled, finally taking a long look at the diamond resting on her finger.

Her eyes widened, "Jesus Christ, Regina! This ring... its beautiful!"
"Well, I am certainly happy you like it my love." Regina smiled, "You know, I had quite a time trying to find the perfect one.."
"How so?"
"Well, for starters.." The brunette began with a sly smile, "Trying to find a ring as beautiful as you is no easy task, my dear." Emma giggled as Regina's lips ever so lightly grazed the side of her neck, sending warm tingles down her back.
"Well..." The blonde replied smiling, "I'd say you came pretty close."
"oh yeah?" Regina answered facing her fiancée, "just pretty close?" She smiled.
Emma winked her left eye, quickly landing a kiss on her cheek "I love it."
The couple stood quietly in the foyer of Regina's mansion. Emma still mesmerized by the size of her rock, and Regina still quietly trying to catch her breath.
