DARK SKIES AND ILLUMINATING LIGHTS. Standing in front of a large mansion, Scarlett Fauvre shifted uncomfortably from side to side as she waited for her journey of love to begin. The wind blew her red silk dress and left chills, but she paid it no attention.

It felt like it was just yesterday she had stepped out of a limo and was greeted by a man she could picture the rest of her life with. Xavier Pearson stood in the same place as her on the start of the fifteenth season of The Bachelor and she willingly let him take her heart right into his hands. If only she had known on that first night that he would crush it in the end, maybe she could of have saved herself before it was too late.

Her time in this mansion would be different this time, though. She was the one in control. She was the one who the men were here for. She was the one who would be engaged at the end of this.

Truthfully, Scarlett should be thankful towards Xavier for giving her this opportunity to find true love and happiness the same way he had because there would be no way she would become the next bachelorette and have the whole world watch her go on this insane journey. Besides, Xavier and Chelsea, his now fiancé, make a beautiful couple and she couldn't deny that she was happy for the two.

The sudden sound of heels brought Scarlett back to reality and she was relieved to see a familiar face. "Scarlett! You look gorgeous," exclaimed a brunette woman in a simple black dress as she gave Scarlett a hug.

"Thank you, thank you! I try sometimes," Scarlett joked to the host of the show, Chantel Kingston.

Putting a comforting hand on her arm, Chantel asked,

"A mixture of giddy and nervous, but having you here with me makes me feel much better,"

"Don't worry, every bachelor and bachelorette has  felt the same way. And of course, I will be here for you the whole time to help you navigate your way through this process," Chantel said reassuringly, which Scarlett was extremely grateful for. Chantel had watched her throughout Xavier's season and knew that even though she was not truly meant to be with him, Scarlett deserved to find her person and would make for a wonderful bachelorette.
