The night was loud, rain and thunder rattled the motel room windows as the occasional car went by. Amelia sat on the couch with a TV tray in front of her as she researched her next move, she knew she had to find the Winchester brothers but they could be anywhere in the country by now. Being so out of the hunting realm as she was, she had no idea what to do, all she knew is she had to find the brothers before she did anything rash. She searches for a few days, and Bullet her precious hellhound curled up right beside her. As Queen of Hell, Amelia was never one for taking breaks on the job and now was no different.
Though she didn't sleep consistently, Amelia wasn't doing herself any favors by running ragged. Her eyes practically saw double from staring at newspaper articles on her computer. After a few days, she finally found a case to get her back on track again and into the hunting lifestyle. This one was not too far from where her motel was, a witch named Max Banes had used his powers to revive his dead sister and was getting a little too powerful for everyone's liking.
Just as she was about to leave to check it out, she heard voices outside her motel room and, as a caution, grabbed her pistol from her bag. She sat quietly on the floor near the bed as she listened to the voices outside her room bickering.
"...Are you sure this is it?" The voice was gruff, definitely a man, probably a bigger-built guy. "We can't let the first time happen again."
"It's the only lead we-we have to try at least," this voice wasn't as gruff, from what she heard it sounded nothing like the Winchesters.
"And we've had thousands of leads Daniel and they all led us to dead ends-"
"But this one won't, we know she's alive, we have instructions, Ash, our instructions are to kill her, and make sure she stays dead."
Amelia sat quietly, hidden away from any window that would look into the room, Ash? Daniel? Who are these men? Where are they getting their instructions from? Like hell, they're not gonna kill me. She rolled her eyes and adjusted her grip on her pistol.
"Are you sure you have the right coordinates? This place looks like a dump." The man, who Amelia presumed to be Ash, spoke after a few minutes of silence.
"This is the place we got from the boss so yeah, it has to be. He said her room is right here," Daniel jiggled the doorknob in the room and knocked on the door, "Hello? Anyone here? We're looking for a woman named Amelia Rose? We heard she was in this room!"
Amelia's mind went into a panic for a split second before she answered in a deeper voice than her own, "Amelia's not here, she's out getting dinner for us," she had altered her voice to sound like an old boyfriend she had in the past, "can I help you?"
"Oh, sorry sir. We don't mean to bother you but we're uh, just old friends of hers and we're in town for a bit. We just wanted to catch up with her," Ash said, seemingly following Daniel's lead.
Amelia rolled her eyes yet again. These goons, whoever sent them, weren't the brightest ones out of the bunch, "I will let her know you stopped by when she comes back, she won't be back for some time now, but I'll make sure she gets your message. What were your names again?"
"Our names are Daniel and Ash," Daniel responded to which he got a light hit for saying their actual names from Ash, "just let her know we came by okay sir? Again, so sorry to bother you."
"I will let her know," Amelia responded and smirked slightly from her hiding place as she heard the men's footsteps walking away from her door and back to their car, driving off from the parking lot. But, she knew for a fact that at least one of them had to have stayed behind, she had to figure out a way to get to her car without being seen by one of them. She looked around her room and quickly came up with a disguise.
She reached for one of Dean's old shirts that he gave her, her University of Kansas baseball cap, and a jean jacket she had handy. She changed quickly before gathering her stuff and calling the front desk to say she was checking out, the money for her stay would be in the room as well as a tip for the cleaner. She glanced at Bullet who was beside her the whole time growling quietly so only she could hear him, "Scio buddy, c'mon, abeamus hinc,"
(Translation: I know buddy, c'mon, let's get out of here).
She pulled her hair into a small ponytail and looped it through the back of the cap. She made sure it didn't look like her own hairstyle as she and Bullet unlocked the motel door and walked to her car which was in the second row of the parking lot. When she got there, she let Bullet in first then sat down in the driver seat, starting up her baby.
