Chapter 5

Dave pulled away from the kiss, both of us were blushing a deep red. I mean, at this point I'm happy; he returns my feelings. The cookie timer dinged and I smiled reaching for the oven mitts. Slipping them on I heard him humming reaching for a plate for us to share. I smiled and pulled out the cookies and gently set them on the counter.(indent) We both silently walked over to the couch and sat down next to each other. I cuddle up next to him and he put his arm around me and kissed my cheek. We heard Dave's bro open the front door of the apartment. He was obviously not expecting me to be here, but I waved anyway. (indent) "Whatcha been doin' lil man?" he asked. "bro go away" Dave said in an irritated tone. "You two have fun." he wiggled his eyebrows and walked to his room. Dave turned to me. "sorry about that." I shrugged, "Its alright." Suddenly someone texted me; my phone buzzed in my pocket. Its was Jade asking if we wanted to go to the mall with her and Rose. "Hey Dave, do you wanna go to the mall with Jade and Rose?" "Sure." he responded. "They are gonna be picking us up in about five minutes." I replied. (indent) We completely forgot about the cookies and walked out the door. Rose's mom swerved up the street. Dave and I were holding hands when we got into the back seat of the van. I sat in the middle of Jade and Dave. There was random Mexican music playing in Rose's mom's car. She doesn't even speak Spanish so I asked, "Ms. Lalonde, what are you even listening to?" Ms. Lalonde responded with,"El Sigh, you kids r soo uncultured" Rose sighed and motioned to the drink in the front seat. (indent) We finally arrived at the mall and we hopped out of the car.
