I Will Wait For You

Chapter 1

Today is the first day of school. I'm in 7th grade. My old school had some problems with being overcrowded or something so my grade had to be transferred to another school almost twenty blocks away. We have to take the stupid bus. Ugh...

You must be wondering who I am. Well, I'm Zenna. I am 13 years old. I have wavy, black hair that seems to shine all the time...or so people say. People also say I have black eyes but, people who say that must have a hard time seeing! I just have really dark brown eyes. I'm 5 foot 3 inches. I'm kind of tall, I guess. Compared to my friends. I love to play basketball.

Well, its 7:30 A.M. and if I don't get up now, I'll be late for school! Never have I ever been late to school. I have perfect attendance! And I'm on the honor roll every year...I guess I'm a pretty good student.

When I got up I looked at my self in the mirror and I almost screamed. I thought that someone else was standing in front of the mirror. My hair was so messy and I looked horrible. I looked like that chick from the Ring. I needed to fix myself...I care about how I look, you know!

I went to the bathroom, took a shower, and then brushed my teeth with white, minty tooth paste. After that, I got out of the bathroom and the first thing I did was brush my hair. I tied my hair in a high ponytail and went to my wardrobe. I did't spend a lot of time choosing what to wear because the school makes us wear uniform!

Yes, we have to wear this disgusing, tasteless uniform to school. I put a white, collared shirt on and pulled on a pair of black pants. Then I put my shoes and black Aeropostale hoodie on before leaving my house. I don't really eat breakfast at home because I'm too lazy to make breakfast for myself.

I made it to the bus stop about five minutes later. I saw my best friends. Sofia, Jenni, Nina, and Mili. They are just about the only people that I trust. They know everything about me and their life and vice versa.

Sofia is just about the most shy person I know. She has black hair and brown eyes. She's really kind, compassionate, and sensitive. She doesn't like fighting and believes in peace and love. Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone else did, as well...

Jenni is not shy. She has M&M colored hair. She died her hair so many times that her hair is part red, part orange, part brown, part pink. I can hardly remember what her original hair color was. She doesn't care about what other people think about her. That's what I love about her!

Nina is like my long lost sister. We have so many things in common. She has black hair and dark brown eyes. She also has really bushy eyebrows! She is one of the most easy going, laid back people I know. Anyway, she's awesome and I love her.

Mili the nerd. She's really smart. She has hundreds in every class. One time she had a 97 in one of her classes and she threw a fit over it, but she's really funny and nice. Not to mention perverted... She has long black hair and really thick eyelashes. She's an awesome person and I love her.

I love all four of my best friends. I don't know what I would do with out them.

"Hey, you guys! Ready for the first day of school!?" asked Mili with sheer excitement.

" Ughhh!!!" I replied, rolling my eyes.

" Yup! She's definitely ready!" said Jenni.

" Hey Zenna don't be like that. This could be the year you find your prince charming!" said Sofia

"Yeah, good luck with that." Nina sarcastically said.

"I hope! It will be nice to have someone who would love me for who I am! Someone who would laugh at my jokes even if they are not funny! Some one who would understand my feelings! Someone who would always be with me! Someone who..." I got cut of by Jenni and Nina before finishing my sentence.

"Oh, god! Please, shut up!" Nina said.

"Yeah! We know what kind of boyfriend you want. You have told us about it like a million times already and we are tired of hearing your same speech over and over again. And I love you, poop." Jenni says.

Oh, I forget to metion that me and Jenni we have our own nicknames. Jenni calls me poop and and I call her pee. It's weird and creepy...but that's what makes our friendship so beautiful.

" Oh, the bus is here! Lets go before we miss it." Sofia said.

We all quickly got on the bus and sat together. I was hoping to have a good day today! I was also hoping to find my prince charming soon. I looked out the window and the bus started moving...I was really hoping to have a good year.
