Yugi woke up the next morning the alarm going off in his ear causing him to hug his pillow close to his ears trying to escape the sound not wanting to wake up not wanting to really face reality his dreams were where he was happy where he could forget his problems. He sighed and leaned over to his desk and slapped the off button on his alarm sitting up completely as he rubbed his eyes looking at the other bed noticing Joey still sleeping as he sat up and stretched looking at the clock he noticed that today was Sunday which meant there was no school yugi smiled slightly. "at least that was one thing he would be able to avoid today he wouldn't have to deal with tea and all of her moods." Yugi walked into his bathroom and took out his tooth brush turning on the water and wet it and put toothpaste on it absentmindedly brushing his teeth as he watched the water run from the faucet into the sink and down the drain.
Once yugi was done with his teeth he went into the bedroom and went over to the bed that joey was asleep in and shook him gently. "Joey it's time to wake up come on" he sighed when joey moved his hand away and moved away. "Well I guess I'll just call kaiba." just as yugi finished those last words joey was up and at his side table snatching up his phone. "You so better not yugi you know what would happen i'm your friend man how could you do something like that to a friend?" he said his hair messed up and shaggy. "Well joey if you would just get up I wouldn't have to threaten kaiba and besides what kind of friend would I be if I let you sleep your whole Sunday away." Joey started to say something but his mouth salaamed shut as he heard the bell from the front door of the game shop open. "I wonder who that could be? Yugi just shrugged there was no telling his grandfather did own a game shop so it wasn't uncommon for people to come in and buy things so it could be anyone he though as he made his way back into the bathroom poking his head out just to tell joey that he was going to take a shower and then they could take off some where it seemed better than staying around the game shop unless they had just wanted to stay home and watch movies which given how joey is yugi knew that joey wouldn't be able to take a whole day to do nothing but watch movies.
Joey nodded as yugi disappeared into the bathroom and made his way down the stairs in his pj's not just because he was curious wondering who was there but also because he wanted to get something to eat and he figured he could make breakfast while yugi was in the shower. He stopped when he made it to the end of the stairs the door connecting the shop to the upstairs was wide open and who would be down there talking to yugi's grandfather like everything was just peachy? It almost made joey want to vomit watching the girl in her short cut pink dress with white boots. She finally looked over at joey with a fake smile. "Hey joey" tea smiled innocently joey couldn't believe it after all this time she still tried to fool him was she nuts? Joey rolled his eyes knowing the answer to his own question as he walked into the game shop past her and into the living room with her following him as yugi's grandfather stayed at the counter waiting for customers.
Joey turned back to her a frown on his face as he crossed his arms keeping his voice down as much as he could as he spoke. "You have some nerve showing your face here." he said in a flat non caring tone as she flipped her hair behind her ear. "Why do you say that you guys are my friends remember it's not natural for a friend to want to see if her friends want to hang out on a Sunday?" Joey rolled his eyes not amused by her lies or her act. "Your not fooling anyone tea your not our friend and you haven't been since the pharaoh has been gone. Actually the way you act makes me wonder if you were ever our friend in the first place or did you just stick around to try to see if you could get into atem's pants?" Tea scowled obviously upset by his words "That is not true! Besides I was friends with Yugi way before atem even came into the picture if I really didn't want to be his friend I wouldn't have put up with him for as long as I had thank you very much Joey. "
Joey sighed "your pathetic you know that? There are plenty of reasons that you have given me to not want to believe you. If you were really yugi's friend you wouldn't be trying to bring him down every day because of something that was not his fault." Joey said finally having enough of her and it hadn't even been ten minutes since they had started talking. "he could have lost, you want to know why I want to make that shrimp suffer? Because he didn't deserve to decide the fate of the pharaoh yugi could have thrown the duel and let him win so he could still be here with us but no because he wanted to be the best he just had to beat him and send him away!" she balled her fists at her side remembering the last thing that atem had done. The one that he had hugged goodbye had not been her no it had been yugi that little no gut shrimp got what she had wanted for so long just some sort of contact with him.
