"Rin! Herin?"

Taewon knocked for the 10th time on the damned porous wood, knuckles eagerly hitting it's surface.
A visible frown creeping up on his face.

The sun was setting enticingly and Herin hadn't come out her room ever since her dad left. Skipping a day of school which was something she would rarely ever do. Her soul was put in the state of grieve as if death had called.

She sighed, her palms gripping the marble counter of her bathroom.
Drops of water dripped down from her hair, falling on the clean marble as she had just got out the shower.

Herin grabbed a head towel and ruffled her soaked hair, blow drying it. Her bland, large sized hoodie was almost covering the soft, plaid skirt of hers.

She walked out her bathroom, dusting off her white loafers and putting them aside.

Before taking a further step, she took a huge enhale. Gulping down to clear the dried throat of hers.

She twisted the knob, eyes meeting Taewon's puffy face.

"Oh- I Uh...Wanted to tell you, I put dinner in the fridge.."
He scratched the nape of his neck, looking at Herin's blood shot eyes.

Herin pulled her lips to a small smile and nodded, going back into her room and wearing her shoes that she just dusted.

Taewon's brows furrowed watching her,
"You're going somewhere?"

"Yeah."
"Where?"

Herin halted while reaching for her phone.
"Just out for some air.."

"Oh..Well, don't be out too late."
With one last glance, He turned around and left to his room.

Herin took a glimpse over her shoulder, seeing that he was gone.
An exasperated sigh left her mouth.

She strolled downstairs, out the door as the smell of fresh flowers filled her nostrils. Sending her a calming aroma along with the sudden rush of sadness.

--

As she walked on the moonlit streets, dark and rusty while the lamp posts splashed vividness of light. The stress and anxiety surrounded her mind, leaving her in deep thoughts.

Yet, the slow, calm breeze of summer that passed by with the trees swaying in a slow manner, creating a divine view gave the girl a sense of inner peace.
Her gaze fell on the rough bushes that were occupied with ravishing flowers situated on them, laying as random insects sat on their petals.

A low, dreamy smile linked up on her lips watching her sight.
Herin would go through fire to think positively for the sake of herself and her loved ones.
Never would she give up on looking at the bright side of life.

Before taking a turn in the narrow street that she got on, her feet ceased.
Contemplating on weather to head to the nearby park or fulfil her hunger by snacks.
