Spending quality time with his mother-in-law wasn't something that was on Kiera's to-do list. Oh wait, scratch that. It was his /future/ mother-in-law. Someone that Kiera didn't get along with. Maybe it was her views or her posh way of living that make everyone else seemed like bugs, but Kiera secretly didn't like her much. Of course, he didn't tell Randy, lying that he was "Okay" with her.

A heavy and oppressive silence fell upon the two, Kiera being the more tensed up one. As he looked out of the window to keep himself "occupied", he could hear the woman placing the cup on the table with a soft 'clink'.

"You were late." was the first thing that the lady said. What? Shouldn't she address him first or something? Maybe they weren't on the best of terms but it's basic etiquette! Sheesh!

"I'm sorry for that, mdm. I had to take care of some issues at home..." He replied, trying to keep calm. The last thing he'd want is to get angry and start yelling at her.

"Issues.... I'm here only to tell you one thing, Kiera Satoshi." The lady narrowed her eyes at the feline who flinched slightly. Her tone was making him really nervous... Plus he didn't really like it when she called him by his full name. It reminded Kiera of his parents who never really cared about him and the fact that Randy's mother was calling him by his full name was as if she wanted Kiera to remember...

"Erm... Okay then, I guess?"

"Break up." Randy's mother replied in such a straightforward way that Kiera paled. He had a look of both shock and worry. Did she mean it? He knew that Randy's mother strongly opposed to them but to force them to break up... It's a little... Harsh, don't you think?

"I... I don't see how that's possible. You may want us to, but I don't see how Randy would agree. Besides, I.. I won't comply either." He replied after a moment of silence. By now, the feline was trying really hard not to do something. He couldn't put a finger on whether it's the want to cry or the want to scream at the mad women. I mean, what kind of person does this?!

"Anything. Anything you want. I'll grant it as long as you leave him." The lady replied swiftly and confidently as if expecting Kiera to reply that way. But Kiera wasn't swayed. No amount of material things could make up for the love and support that Randy had given him.

Kiera shook his head and forced himself not to shy away. He stared straight at the lady without averting his gaze. Pride blossomed in his chest as his mother-in-law averted his gaze first.

"Ah, don't worry. I'll make you want to break up with him. Mark my word." And with that, she left the cafe and the feline, along with the half-filled cup of tea on the table...

That night, Kiera couldn't forget the determined glint in the lady's eyes. It somewhat scared him...

"Kiera?" Deep in thought, the leopard didn't hear his lover entering the bedroom.

"Ah! Sorry... I was... Deep in thought..." He replied, giving the other male a reassuring smile. Randy didn't seem too comforted by Kiera's words.

"I had someone who had a pretty big problem today. He was just about to marry his... Well, boyfriend but his parents changed their mind in the end..." He sighed, glancing up at the other male. It wasn't a complete lie. Sure, that "someone" actually exists but Kiera wasn't exactly lingering on the topic anymore. His clients' problems weren't something that he brought home, partially because he vowed not to let them affect his life which would in turn affect Randy's. Randy watched at his lover slowly nodded and carried him up to the bed.

"Everything will turn out fine... Don't worry..." He murmured, gently stroking the feline's hair. In response, the smaller male nodded and sighed again softly. The brown-hair male lowered his lips to his lover's neck, leaving light marks here and there. Usually, Kiera wouldn't have minded and let the other male do whatever he wanted, which usually ended up with sex. However, Kiera pulled away this time. Randy blinked at the action, obviously confused. Kiera had /never/ refused him before. Things were getting weird and it was definitely not about the patient. As much as he wanted Kiera to tell him, he knew that he should force it out of him. Because the first time they had a bath together, he'd told Kiera only to tell him the things that he was comfortable with. And he wasn't about to end that now.

"I'm... Tired... Okay? Maybe tomorrow..." Kiera mumbled, refusing to meet Randy's eyes. Instead, he nuzzle against the other's chest, wrapping his arms around Randy's strong sturdy body. Not wanting to force Kiera to do it when he wasn't up to doing it, he only nodded and rested his head on the other's.

"Good night..."

"Mm..."
