"You know I'm going to have to lea..." I started to say. Astrid placed a finger to my lips.

"Shhhhh" she said

Once again I didn't object. I crained my neck to check no one was coming to interrupt this moment, no one was. I walked her to the front door and left her there to go inside.

I made my way back to my own house. I opened the door and called out to see if anyone was home. There wasn't , so I lay on the bed thinking how the day could get any better and how I couldn' t imagine life without her. I drifted off into a deep sleep.

I woke up in the morning with the happiest feeling inside me. I made myself breakfast to go, and walked down the deserted street when my phone rang. I answered the phone, the happiness drained out of me. I ran to the hostpital.
